The only people that have used Izanagi recently are: Danzou, Sasuke and Obito. They all used Hashirama's DNA (maybe not Sasuke though) to unlock the jutsu. Not any random Senju, or even Tsunade...Hashirama. What made Hashirama really special was Ashura's chakra and considering that Izanagi is really just a throwback to Creation of All Things, it makes sense that a power from closer to the Origin would unlock it.

 

What makes sense is that if you're going to bother digging up dead Senju you might as well go for the most powerful one. It's not even like any one of them but Danzo even wanted Hashirama's cells. The other two had them injected in a medical procedure to save their lives.

 

It makes sense to use Hashirama now yes, since he is the most powerfull. But what about before he was alive? Based on Itachis stories atleast, Izanagi was already in use before Hashirama was born.

 

Chapters out.

The chapter feels, at least to me, like it ended prematurely. As for the whole revelation between Madara and Obito, I think just about everyone could see that one coming from a mile away.

Madara basically orchestrated the Rin scenario to make Obito work for him. Hes the Littlefinger of Naruto.

Naruto has hax healing powers. Not that Im suprised, wasnt one of the SOSP's powers creation of all things or something?

 

And thus, another bit of Sakura's character gets axed off to give more power to the leads.

 

Sigh, of course he did and of course he does. I'm assuming it won't be long before he resurrects Neji.

 

Meh. I couldn't give less of a shit about Obito. He deserves everything coming his way.

More than anything else, this chapter was a great reminder of what a terrible/pathetic person Sasuke and Sakura are, respectively.

 

I personally thought the seal was kind of dumb. All you have to do is get stabbed in the chest to remove it and go on with life.

 

More likely your heart has to be destroyed. Luckily for Obito, he could regenerate even from that.

 

Normally people die when they are killed, so I don't think 'going on with life' is possible.

 

Was the fact that Rin was the host of the three tails a new reveal or did I skip that one?

Nearly every other thing in this chapter was terrible, par for the course, really, but I just can't muster the energy to complain about them in detail. What can you really say about anything any more? It all sucks.

 

This was actually one of the best chapters I'd read in awhile. It seems like there is some character development for once. I'm eager to see how this all plays out.

 

We've known about that for a while. You must have either forgotten it or missed it when that reveal happened.

 

As least Rin was redeemed for committing suicide in the douchiest way possible. Meh, for trying to make Obito more sympathetic.

Flashback seemed like a waste of panels.

 

On an unrelated note, can someone explain to me exactly why Naruto was hated/shunned in Konoha?

I mean, it made sense in Part 1 because supposedly people weren't familiar with the concept of Jinchuuriki, but we have since learned that not only is that untrue, but also that for the majority of Konoha's existence there has been a Kyuubi Jinchuuriki, the first being the Shodai's wife and the second a well-loved ninja of Konoha.

Hence, it doesn't make sense to me. Am I forgetting something or is it simply another case of Kishi fucking up his own continuity?

 

Don't think the general populace of Konoha was aware of Mito's or Kushina's jinchuuriki status. Also, Naruto becoming the jinchuuriki came right on top of a Kyuubi-rampage so I guess it all snowballed from there...

 

That's because the Kyuubi escaped and killed a lot of people. If I recall correctly, jinchuurikis never lost control to the extent of the events of Oct 10th. It changed the way people thought about the tailed beast containers. Besides, it was an emotionally charged moment that nobody could talk about. Of course it brought resentment. There was no proper outlet for grief or understanding.
