And really, what's the point of throwing it in now if he's just gonna get smacked down anyway?

Yeah, was going to say, Minato suddenly knows Senjutsu.

Black Zetsu continues to look like a troll face.

Obito steals the other half of Kyuubi and gives Naruto full Kyuubi, calling it now. Or steals it all and gives it to Naruto. Or he will revive Naruto with Rinnei Tensei.

It's just a series of flashbacks from both Naruto and Madara.

On the other note, does Madara words mean that Rikudou gave chakra and humans later learned how to increase quantity of it by mixing spiritual and physical energies?

I think that's the general idea.
As for Obito's logic...well, keep in mind he's exhausted and looks like he's about to fall over. Probably delirious too. Though I think I sort of get it? He's saying a man who leads must be a zombie.
...Not entirely sure how that works. Either that or they're supposed to lead by example, even after they're dead, leaving a legacy that their people can aspire to meet, and surpass.

On a different note, I can't believe no one's mentioned Madara freaking punting the rasengan into Kakashi like a soccerball. Say what you will...that was all kinds of over-the-top badass.

This chapter got me thinking about how Naruto is going to bring about peace. We've seen two different people with different philosophies on how to bring about peace.

So what is it that Naruto can do that everyone one else couldn't?

Something has to come out of the whole uniting against a common enemy thing but unless villages are disbanded or something I don't see it lasting.

When Madara was revived he took over Obito's body and forced him to resurrect him at the cost of his own life. Obito is saying a good leader can't just walk over the corpses of his comrades to win.

Naruto has talk no jutsu. That's enough to annoy everyone into peace. Also how the hell did Minato get sage mode? Did he alreadt know it? If so why the hell did he not use it sooner? Or is he the sort of genius that lears by watching?

Unless Naruto is going to live forever to keep people together, this. And even if you disband the village you can't stop people from fighting with each other, even if you stop the whole shinobi system people are still going to be murdering each other and be ass-hats. It might not be the rule if Naruto becomes some sort of super-Kage, but can he be there for every single thing?

Even him plus everyone who wants to help, something is going to slip through the cracks; he's not just the "Messiah" for Konoha but all of the Elemental Nations (admittedly I don't know the size of it) but that's a damn country. Is Naruto ready for that kinda of responsibility? Look how he reacted when Neji died, he was ready to jump ship with Obito before the body even started to be cold. Sure Neji was a friend, sorry "precious person", but can Naruto handle being responsible for a whole village's welfare let alone this Shinobi Alliance?

It sounds nice, but unless he plans to keep the peace forever with immortality or what-have-you all that's going to happen is that down the line when he's dead or gone people are going to start the cycle of hatred all over again. Maybe it'll happen when Naruto becomes the next Rikudo Sennin and dies people will argue and kill each other over what Naruto did. That'd be funny actually.

He will use this chakra connection to brainwash all humans in the world. Otherwise I just don't see why would Kushi tell us about chakra link...

Brings to mind that bit a while ago about how Naruto shared Kurama's bijuu chakra with the alliance - Minato specifically noted how he was able to adjust it to fit everyone's individual chakra "shape" and be accepted.

I'm sure that will play into the end-game again.

Kishimoto needs to just DIE! He's RUINING the masterpiece he crafted and shared with the world. What the HECK is Minato doing with Senjutsu?

Talk no Jutsu: Delayed Effect activate!

I don't know what translations you guys read, but Obito's logic made sense to me. At the very least, I could understand what he was saying.

This is exactly why Kishi felt he needed to give Minato senjutsu :). If Minato had not been in Sage Mode, that Rasengan would have died the moment Minato's hand was cut off...

It makes no sense at all, but hey - this is shonen manga. We can't ask for logic here.

EDIT: Actually, it'd have been alright if Kishi had included a line for Minato like "I hope this works..." or something before he entered Sage Mode. It'd have take a lot to suspend disbelief over that, but it could've worked given how much Minato's genius has been praised.

Not sure I liked that part in the origin story. I mean when it really comes down to it, its just Madaras infinite tsukuyomi on a lesser scale.

The original Sage tried assimilate the world and turn everyone into the Borg basically. Forget privacy or any personal feelings or secrets you don't want anyone else to know. Your mind will now be linked to everyone else on the planet so that they can "understand" everything about you. Its a plan thats in many ways just as messed up as Nagatos "Blow everything up" and Madaras "Lotus-Eater Machine". Atleast thats what I think.

Now granted, apparently the Sage did not force it on people (or they could not have chosen to refuse to link with others) which makes it better than the other plans, but its still a pretty messed up thing to expect every single person to just freely share their own mind with EVERYONE ELSE in somekind of mass vulcan mindmeld. How could the Sage possibly think people would happily agree to that?

Not only can Minato use SM all of the sudden, but the original Sage who was supposedly this wise and legendary figure, was apparently a complete and total idiot.

Does Kishi have a secret partnership with Gainax? I can totally see a Gainax Ending coming.

Nah, that's not the vibe I got from the chakra links. My impression was that it simply gave people perspective, allowed them to look at things from an enemy's point of view, like that gun from Hitchhiker's Guide. Which isn't so much Borg as it is a widescale enlightenment. Woo, ninja Jesus!
