So, big news. Naruto Part 3 has been confirmed. Not directed by Kishimoto, and evidence points to a (edit)semi(/edit) power level reset. Naruto loses the yang seal on his hand, Sasuke seems to be blind, etc etc.

 

Naruto losing the yang seal on his hand doesn't reset his power. A blind Sasuke would be interesting as hell though.

Still searching for the 'without kishimoto' link that I had before. Still, the trailer wouldn't be talking about a 'new generation' and 'beyond the original work' if there wasn't another part in the works.

 

Wow, that sounds terrible, dragging it out with nonsense in order to keep milking it.
Why can't they just let it end gracefully, like Dragonball.

 

That Sasuke picture is fan art and I'm pretty sure the Naruto one is as well.

 

Eh, the Sasuke one is, yeah, I just did a reverse image search. But I saw it in the batch of official art and assumed it was as well.

Still, the Naruto piece has the same markings on his hand as the Naruto in the short movie trailer. So I think there's a fair chance that's official. There is a chance it's not though.

 

As for Naruto.

 

That looks like a sketch version design of the picture I have up. If you pay attention to the lines of the clothes and the face details, both have the same design. The one I linked is just cleaner and colored.

 

It's also Zerochan fan art.

 

Eh, but it's still based very, very closely on the design sketches shown. Which makes it good enough for my purposes.

 

That video has an annotation link to an extended trailer. There is no new footage in that trailer, but there is this interesting tidbit, assuming the subs are correct (I don't feel like trying to listen to the Japanese for numbers to confirm it): the battle will end in Winter 2014.

The downside to this is that, unless there's an extended epilogue (or connection between the end of the battle and the movie or whatever), there's still another 10+ chapters in this dumbass fight.

 

Is that picture Sasuke? Looks like it might be Sai.

 

I'd be interested to see Naruto written by someone else. Might be interesting. If a part 3 happens, does that mean peace was not achieved?
