Objection, I want proof.

 

The reality is none of them (Sakura, Naruto, Sasuke) should have been allowed to be ninja. Sasuke the fucked up psychopath. Naruto who goes to warn not expecting to kill anyone, and good old Sakura who is obsessed with a guy who would kill her at the drop of a hat.
These people need shock therepy at least.

 

Lolwat. Naruto was/is the most well-adjusted member of Team 7, bar none, and I'm including all the times he was violently possessed by the embodiment of all hatred. He's obnoxious as hell, but that's all he is. All you'll find the deeper you dig is obnoxiousness, more obnoxiousness, and Kurama I guess.

 

At least he made an effort to confront himself and somehow evolve, while staying true to himself.(Loosely) His behavior at 12 as a hyperactiv kid is not unnusual, after all he has a biggest fucking chakra construct in him supllying him with endless energy. And with age he calmed down somewhat, still shounen material, but at least evolved. Sakura is still the same, not even boobs or original new skill/jutsus just a Tsunade rehash. Naruto and Sasuke at least made an effort to be somewhat original. And finally Sasuke, he went from avenging his clan and wanting to kill his brother, to avenging his clan and wanting to kill danzo, to avenging his clan and to kill madara/obito/fuckingrabbit, to avenging his clan to kill all the hokage and Naruto.

My objection about Sakura being annoying as shit being based on Kishi being a shit writer when it comes to women still stands.

 

Could it be possible that Sasuke is doing all this as some sort of redemption if Naruto killed him? Sort of like what Itachi did to him?

 

What? What?

No. Sasuke is an evil fuckface. He's going to get Talk No Jutsu'd into being a not-evil fuckface during/after the fight. He's not secretly caring for or protecting anyone (unless kishi Retcons shit). This is Sasuke being Sasuke. Meaning: Fuckface.

In no way is this manga Realistic anymore. The only justification there is for Sasuke's undeniable upcoming redemption is because This is a Shonen Power of Friendship manga. In any other genre with more complex/real emotional dynamics, he would be an irredeemable villain slated for defeat/imprisonment/death.

Kishi has written himself into a shit corner while making his Favorite Character an OP Asshole Failure. Nothing makes sense, nothing makes the discerning fans truly happy, and just about everyone wants it to be fucking OVER already.

Sasuke is the Avatar of Almost Everything Wrong with the Manga, Sakura is the Avatar of Kishi's Woman Problems, and Naruto is the Avatar of the Manga's Wasted Potential.

 

I had a similar thought this chapter. It felt like to me Sasuke knows there is no winning this fight. I think he is actively trying to get Naruto to kill him.

 

I think it's more likely that Sasuke is testing Naruto in his own way. To see if Naruto is ready for such a commitment.

 

Or more likely Sasuke and Naruto are incredibly fast and can cover the distance easily. Sasuke did travel from the Akatsuki base, to Konoha, to the war rather quickly and that was before the power up.

Sure as hell didn't take long for them to get from the Land of Hot Water to the Valley of the End.

 

Well I think the distance between those meteors and the ground was probably thousands of miles and Sasuke went up there to them and back in seconds. Kishi is probably doing the opposite of Dragon Ball where the characters seem slower in combat than when traveling.

 

Sasuke is the only one left with a Rinnegan, right? You guys figure he will pull a Pain and revive everyone that's died in the war? Would make some sense as to why people would take him back even after this, if they even learn about it.

 

What about Madara? Is his corpse not still there with two rinnegan eyes?

Someone could take those eyes and use them to perform RT. Heck, Naruto saw Nagato perform the technique, and could probably survive using it thanks to the whole yang-powerup he got from the sage.

I really hope not.

 

Huh, I would question how he would know how to do it but I guess it is just as simple as plugging out the eyes, popping them in and just revive everyone. It's probably harder to install firefox than it is to transplant an eye and use its mystical abilities.

 

It occurs to me that the manga would have been an infinity more interesting Kishi had made Itachi, rather than Sasuke, Naruto's primary rival and teammate on Team 7. He would have been an excellent and worthy foil to Naruto - his ruthlessness against Naruto's idealism - and the story would have been much improved for it.

A good story needs compelling characters. Naruto, for all his flaws, is pretty compelling. You know who he is, what he wants, what he believes, what he's likely to do, what he stands for - in other words, he's a well-developed character, whose backstory and motivations make him relatable and interesting.

Sasuke, on the other hand, is really weak as the primary antagonist (in terms of characterization). A lot of what he does feels forced and contrived - his motivations and actions are determined by the plot, not the other way around. He stands for nothing, and is nothing, compared to his brother, and compared to Naruto. He's just a thousand times less interesting as a character, and Naruto the manga really suffers for it.

 

Or Itachi's character would then be dictated by the plot and you'd complain about that instead.

Madara taught Obito how to use the Rinnegan and Obito passed a lot of that to Nagato(who only figured out a few things). Sasuke has seen the tablet, it's natural to him, and he's watched both Kaguya and Madara in action with his doujutsu. Basically I don't think you can pop in the Rinnegan and know how to use it. Kakashi may have picked up some knowledge of how to use it however.
