I wouldn't worry too much about Gai dying because chances are Obito will revive him with everyone else.

What the fuck is a Sharingay or Rimmingay?

Sounds like a hot mess of nonsense that isn't the Fountain of Goddamn Youth.

If Gai had been Naruto's teacher, this manga would have been 1/10th as long. Search your feelings, you know it to be true.

I hadn't even considered this, I was looking forward to an epic last stand where he accomplished something meaningful in the long run (even though he wouldn't ultimately be able to beat Madara). I love Gai as a character/etc. but... It would be so cheap if he get's resurrected.

The Gai-Lee thing, and Madara's knowledge of the Eight Gates, makes me think that Konoha and the world at large has a long tradition of a Master-Student duo where the master ultimately uses the Death Gate, leaving the student to take over (even though we never see Gai receive teaching, that's understandable since he's a minor character).

I don't really see how taijutsu works when giant explosions don't.

The Juubi jinchuuriki has chakra negation akin to Shezza's Hiruzen.

I can see how that would stop most jutsu but not the indirect effects of them. For example it might negate the damage of being hit directly by Perfect Susanoo's sword but the shockwave the swing makes doesn't seem to have chakra in it. I would think that bijuudamas exploding right next to you would still cause some injury if physical attacks hurt you.

You don't understand how explosions arn't physical effects. I don't understand why Gai and Lee are the only ones capable of Tajjutsu in like, all Shinobi.

We all wish for Gai to beat Madara to a pulp, win the war and become the leader of the joint, youthful, Shinobi villages while Naruto and Sasuke have and epic fight over who becomes Hokage.

The explosion would push the air around it and create a shockwave. I believe the shockwave could be considered a physical attack. In fact isn't the entire basis for Guy's Afternoon Tiger to launch compressed air at people?

The reason Gai and Lee are special in that their Taijutsu is worth attempting is purely on the basis of them being Taijutsu specialists. For most ninja it's just not worth bothering with because comparatively, they kinda suck at it.

Don't complain about the redemption theme when it's been present since the very first arc, and I won't fucking have to.

Or, Kishi isn't great at drawing or writing hand to hand, and he'd rather just have characters spam jutsu at each other . When it comes to Gai and Lee he is force to do something different.

Obviously. I'm just saying, from an in-story standpoint, that's why no one else bothers.

Gai going eighth gate will be interesting to say the least. But I agree he will not win the war just maybe buy time for Naruto to be revived. The same thing happened to bleach where Ichigo gave up his powers for Urahara to do some sealing in the end.

Sasuke with Rinengan wont surprise me. Kabuto's redemption could be building an orphanage for all the kids he has orphaned and he will be forgiven by all for reviving Sasuke.

Yeah that will be great Kabuto taking care of the children of the parents that he is responsible for killing. Because that isn't an insult to their memories.

With the way everyone is getting redeemed I wouldn't be surprised

Danzo wasn't redeemed. Most of the Akatsuki weren't redeemed. The entire Uchiha clan don't have a good excuse for attempting a coup, so they weren't ever really redeemed.

This is why I keep bringing up Fairy Tail. Not everyone in Naruto is on a fast track to getting let off the karmic hook.

False, they were being persecuted and blamed for the Kyuubi's attack due to the rumors (albeit true) that the Sharingan could control the Kyuubi.

Danzo was never a bad bad guy. He was the worst of the good guys.

And most of the Akatsuki were sob stories. Only the zombies and Deidara were not given such a background, or any background at all basically.

The Uchiha get their eyes because they love too much. Who are you kidding?

    So, scary thought.

Is Gai going to use the Eighth Gate, beat the shit out of the bad guy, and then live? Contrary to what was established literally in the initial explanation of how Gates works?

Because there's really no other way for Gai to go out than in an explosion of youth, fighting an evil-doer, protecting his cute protege, and forever one-upping his rival.
