@Datakim: I agree with you there, it certainly is not ideal. I get the feeling that after a certain length of time, the villages will have worked alongside each other for long enough that an external threat to band together against will not be necessary any more.

Dunno how exactly he plans things, doubt he will attack weekly or something but enough so that they are still motivated to work together. In all fairness, that way, there will probably be less death than there would be otherwise.

Still, so far, it beats Naruto's plan which is letting Naruto come up with a plan that will solve all of this.

 

I'm not overly fond of the chapter, but that line was quite nice. It's mean and cuts right through to the heart which is very in line with Sasuke's general character, imo.

 

At which point, having spent generations doing nothing but combat, the people probably can't see how they could do anything else, and will attack each other. Personally, I don't think it beats Narutos plan simply because I figure no plan is better than a plan that (in my opinion) ultimately makes things WORSE.

Best plan (that I can think of) would probably be to try to utilise the momentum of the alliance and quickly try to unite the villages as much as possible as fast as possible, using the goodwill that fighting together has gained. Basically try to prevent a backslide into 5 isolated villages that would wage war with each other. Not easy, but potentially plausible. Especially since all the 5 kage support that idea now and would help.

Personally I found it kind of weak. I mean it would have been major burn much earlier in the series, but at this point Naruto basically has friends everywhere, and cannot really be considered alone anymore. Heck, considering he has made friends with the bijuu and was recruited to become a bijuu communication hub, he is now NEVER alone.

Ironically, Sasuke is the one who is basically all alone now.

 

Didn't he say 'lonely' rather than alone? It makes more sense in the 'lonely' sense, because despite all his friends Naruto is missing his Uchiha bed-warmer and can't live without him.

 

They already spent generations doing combat and if you argue that they could band together now, you would also have to admit that they could do so after the Sasuke situation has been dealt with.

That said, yeah, right now would be a good time to put aside the previous system.

 

Sasuke doesn't even have to attack regularly. He just has to show up every time someone provokes a war and lay waste to the idiots fighting it...which is perfectly viable, it's not like anyone could stop him besides Naruto. They shut up and stop killing each other? No Sasuke.

When did Sasuke get infinite chakra that I missed? He is outlasting Naruto, the current perfect jinchuriki, in terms of chakra.

Also while Sasuke's plan might sound viable, it by no means a sane or valid plan. I also found his claim to be able get immortality both disturbing and doubthfull.

 

Sasuke can apparently freely drain the tailed beasts of their chakra.

Naruto tends to use more chakra and they just got done fighting Kaguya.

I don't find anything doubtful about it. As far as I'm concerned the only reason Hagaromo died of old age is because he didn't bother trying to extend his life. Madara found a manner to extend his life indefinitely when he awakened the Rinnegan. There's Kakuzu, Hidan, Sasori, and Orochimaru who also found methods of immortality.

 

That's not how I interpreted the situation. Sasuke plans to control everything from the "shadows". Assassination of dissenters and the mind control of "leaders" is the route I see him taking. All while remaining hidden. No-one would ever know that he exists. He'd be like a super version of Old Madara or Crippled Pein.

 

No, they have to know he exists, otherwise they wouldn't band together. The shadows part is that they wouldn't know that them teaming up is the whole purpose of his actions. They just wouldn't be aware of what he does, probably involving assassinations and mind control but he would be a public figure of loathing.

 

Gotta admit..I'm glad Sasuke is the final villain And his reasoning isn't entirely off the wall. Glad to know he was not idiotic enough to think he could be a traditional Hokage after the crap he pulled.

Sasuke is a pretty great antagonist IMO.

 

This is I think what Naruto plans to do. Sasuke wants to unite them with a common threat. But he forgets that Madara thought himself unbeatable. Someone will be born with enough power to take him out or someone could get in a lucky shot. Madara was back stabbed.

 

If the Mangastream translation is correct and Sasuke is planning to entrust his plan to his future reincarnations, then the whole thing is truly ridiculous. The reincarnations don't remember their past lives.

Also, I think what Naruto/Kurama just did was to gather natural energy from the entire world.

This chapter also explained what Asura's giant 'avatar' was. Its faces probably just looked different because Kurama was still very young.

 

I believe the implication is that Sasuke is planning to hijack the reincarnation process. Make it so that he'll be reincarnated with his memories and chakra. Something like Hao from Shaman King I imagine.

 

Anyone play the latest Naruto game Ninja Storm Revoluton. According to the game Orochimaru and Kakuzu recruit Hidan however according to manga volume 36 Obito becomes an Akasuki member after Hidan. Just thought I'd throw it out there.
