So, my brother is reading the light novels that came after the manga.

Apparently, the civilian population is mostly ignorant about the 4th ninja war and while Naruto is regarded as ninja Jesus by the ninjas, his name is not very well known among civilians. One would have thought that giant armies and valleys blowing up would be more newsworthy.

Also, the question about how will the villages handle the missions is answered. They joined into a giant organization called the Ninja Association based in the Iron country. Villages can't take missions anymore, they are commissioned to the association, which later distributes them among the villages according to who is best suited for it in order to prevent conflicting missions from having ninjas fight each other or the villages fighting over clients.

As an aside, the economic boom in Wave brought by the bridge attracted a lot of Gato minded merchants to it and Tazuna shows himself a man of many talents by building a zeppelin a year after the fourth ninja war. Kakashi becomes hokage shortly after that.

 

Yea...that seems retarded that the civilian populace don't really know Naruto all that much. I can understand them not knowing the rest of the old rookie Konoha ninja, but to not know who Naruto is, even after he defeated Pein, the one who destroyed the fucking village, that's just stupid ignorant.


As for the new special one-shot chapter that was released today showing off Boruto's team....eh. It was just a gag chapter really that only had 1 line that made me laugh. Pretty much the entirety of the chapter aside from the first page or two was drawn in chibi format so...yea.

All i can say is...Konohamaru you weak as fuck lul.

 

At least we got a little more info on Konohamaru's parents other than that the chapter was worthless. Shakes head I still want to know who Mitsuki is though.

 

The best and worst of the chapter were, for me, the same thing. The introduction of the mothers.

Hinata: The kunoichi that stole the role of heroine of her generation.
Sakura: The self-proclaimed heroine of her generation.

Seriously, Sakura can't catch a break.

 

Mitsuki is confirmed to be Orochimaru's child.

 

Confirmed by who? And is the mother Anko?

 

Spoilers from the early showing and the mother is unknown.

 

I see... and I was being sarcastic about Anko as if it wasn't obvious. I wouldn't be surprised if the kid came from a test tube as it would make more sense than Orochimaru doing things naturally.

 

Is everyone having a fucking offspring? next the fucking Eight Tails will have a daughter

It wasn't confirmed I thin. I mean, they look alike and have similar jutsu but the guy has light hair. He could be Kabuto's for all we know.

Going back to the light novel comments it seems that since the union gives jobs according to competence they drop a shit ton of work on Shikamaru. And Sakura is head of the children mental health wing of the hospital, a division founded by her out of concern of how the fourth war and the changes on the shinobi system affected them.

 

So communism was the answer all along.

 

Live-Action Naruto movie coming

Lionsgate has signed Michael Gracey to direct an adaptation of the popular Japanese manga series “Naruto.”

The studio is in negotiations for the film rights to the “Naruto” series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto, first published in 1997. The manga, which has sold more than 200 million copies in print, follows adolescent ninja Naruto Uzumaki, who dreams of becoming the village ninja, the community’s protector and leader.

Avi Arad and his son Ari Arad are producing through Arad Productions. Erik Feig, Geoff Shaveitz and Kelly O’Malley will oversee for the studio.

 

To be honest I'm not going to hold my breath on this or any other anime becoming live action. Dball was a flop and I just can't see that kind of thing hitting the big screen over here.

 

Live action Naruto sounds cringeworthy to the extreme.

 

The AoT live action is leaving out Levi(because of his name...?), making Eren afraid of the titans(like Armin was in the beginning) and dropping Mikasa from the veritable badass role to simply the love interest role.

Going to be legendary bad, possibly even worse than Dball.

These studios need to just stop destroying our favorite animes with these horrible adaptations.

 

I just had a thought. If they add a lot more violence and sex to a live action Naruto movie I'd consider going to see it. They could call it "Icha Icha the movie".

 

Yea i agree, less "The Legend of the Ninja Naruto" and more "Icha Icha Paradise: The Movie"

Though the live action DragonBall was more of executive meddling iirc.
