I'm not willing to read anything written by him after what happened with Naruto.

I read his one shot Mario it was meh. I would probably read a new work from him just to see how it is. The problem I'm finding is that these mangaka only have one or two hits and the rest are not so interesting.

His brother put out an interesting manga called 666 Satan, I thought it was pretty good but I read it years ago. Everyone called it a Naruto rip off but in reality they just started with the same source material. If anything they both ripped off DBZ.

It's also damn near impossible to predict what the next 'huge hit' will be. Naruto took off. And yes, it had to have a lot of appeal to do that. But it also hit at the right time.

If Kishimoto writes something that's better than Naruto then great, but that doesn't mean it'll be a bigger hit.

Personally, i'm of the mind Nanatsu no Taizai(Seven Deadly Sins) is quickly becoming the next big hit. Though perhaps not as big as Naruto/Bleach/One Piece was for the same reason no p2p mmorpg will never come close to pulling the numbers WoW has peaked at in the past.

I would probably say Boku no Hero Academia and Toriko as a contender.

I can see BnHA, but Toriko's been pushed pretty often by the editors and still hasn't gotten far.
Other big shounen I can think of are HunterXHunter or maybe D.Gray Man.
There's also Black Lotus, I think it was called, which from what I've heard is pretty Narutolike. Haven't read it myself, though.

Kishimoto is like a typecast actor. He will forever be remembered as the guy who wrote Naruto. Even if his new manga is ten times better than Naruto was no one will care because no one is interested in anything else he has to write. Anything and everything he says and does and any manga he puts out will live in Naruto's gargantuan shadow.

(For the record I'm not saying he should he should stop writing or anything.)

One point of view you all might be missing is the fact that whatever Kishimoto does won't be weekly. Writing something weekly is very taxing. Writing something good is hard enough, but try writing something good when you have to put out a chapter every single week(minus holidays and emergencies). All the drawing/dialogue takes a long time as it is, leaves very little time for planning and thinking things through.

All this is to say, Kishimoto may actually not churn out complete bullshit when he has more time to think in between content updates. Though I do understand the lack of faith as I myself feel it as well.

So I just read the synopsis for the Boruto movie, because I haven't watched any Naruto movie since the Shion one. But the thing is, they made it so, that
Naruto,Sasuke gets weaker and then Boruto defeats the enemey(another godlike being) with a shitty rasengan. Again.Fuck that shit. Really fuck that.

It's stupid, but you really gotta be impressed with their dedication to the Rasengan, using it as the end move for every single movie.

Is it just me or does it seem like those two should switch Susanoo's? Itachi's looks WAF in the face.

Yet another gag manga of Naruto was started apparently. Basically, its the adventures of Lee, but replace Lee with Sasuke. I personally won't be reading it because it just isn't my kind of humor but for those of you who do, "The Uchiha Sasuke Sharingan Chronicles" is the name.

I tried it and wasn't impressed. I thought/was hoping that we might see some adventures of Sasuke after the war but it's just plain old humor of Sasuke and team Taka before the war.

Looks like there's more Boruto coming. It's kind of funny considering when asked if he would continue Kishimoto replied "I can't. Please let me rest now." and plus he said his next project would be a Sci-Fi manga.

The new Boruto stuff just invokes images of Kishimoto being kept in some dingy sweatshop by a bunch of Shonen Jump employers, being whipped for more Naruto material. Seriously though, give the guy a rest. You can only crash your canon so hard.

I guess I am the only one that enjoyed the Boruto movie lol. It would be interesting to see if they embraced the sci-fi elements of Naruto for the Bortuo series. Focus on where the otsutsuki being come from and what not. I need Ninjas in Space or travelling to alternate dimensions. Armed with the gauntlets from the boruto movie firing off jutsu. . Also since the Ninja world is at peace this could be where the conflict comes from(dimensions/space). I realize this won't happen but just my two cents lol.
