Yamato's hand is actually a mistranslation. In the RAW, it's very pale, indicating that it hasn't yet reached 9 tails.

I know this is off topic to the current direction of the thread, but I just had a theory and I needed to get some feedback.

I believe I may have an explanation of why the Shadow Clone memory thing was so badly thought out. It is my belief that initially, Kishimoto did not intend for there to be a Shadow Clone memory transfer. But then he either thought up or wrote the Kakuzu/Hidan thing, and Kishimoto realized that there was no fucking way Naruto could beat any of them with his current repetoire of moves and skills. So he needed for Naruto to learn, and learn fast. But how? No fucking way would his readers buy the fact that a new jutsu could be created in just days, not to mention that it was a jutsu even the Fourth could not complete. So Kishimoto made up the memory trick on the spot, to avoid a plot hole of epic proportions and instead settle for just a strange little plot hole regarding the mechanics of the Shadow Clone.

This little theory of mine actually explains a few things I've always found puzzling. Naruto has always been depicted as a moron of sorts most of the time in the manga. But you'd have to be retarded to an absolutely ridiculous level to not notice hundreds of conflicting memories of being at different places at the same time. It also explains why Jiraiya didn't use the Shadow Clones on the training trip: Kishimoto hadn't thought it up yet!

Looks like dear Yondaime is alive inside Naruto's consciousness and knows Jiraiya is dead (not unlike the Kyuubi? fucking party on inside Naruto's head...). More interaction between Naruto and Minato, apparently Madara is revealed (finally) as the instigator of the Kyuubi attack. Naruto manages to work out that Tobi = Madara.

 

I hate if for no other reason than Naruto is going to have one of those emotional epiphanies and suddenly swear off the Kyuubi's power forever because he now knows how much daddy wuvs him. I was loving seeing him go batshit crazy with the Kyuubi and I wanted to see him go all the way to nine and fucking rape Nagato's crippled ass.

 

I agree. In addition, change the warning about Madara to Orochimaru and you've got the standard 2005 fanfiction plot.

 

By the looks of some spoilers on /a/ Naruto

Punches his father in the stomach for sealing the Kyuubi in him. I saw the picture of him punching Minato, but someone else said it was because of the Kyuubi, so take it with a grain of salt.

 

Saw the picture on /a/ and lol'd. Possible it's Kyuubi possessing Naruto, but it cut off before it showed Naruto's eyes, so not sure.

 

Better than an all out cozy-reunion festival if you ask me.

New chapter is out. Minato didn't reveal the secrets of the universe, which is good. If anyone else was talking it would of been a pretty mediocre chapter, but since it was Minato, this is the best chapter ever.

That was surprisingly not as fail as I'd thought it'd be. Actually, it was a pretty cool chapter- and the sucker-punch was nice as well.

 

I suppose Naruto going Sage Mode was magic? I'm just hoping this battle is close to ending; liked bits of it, some bits sucked, but the aftermath of this fight is going to be pretty interesting.

It was a good chapter. There isn't really much more to say about it. The reunion wasn't as fail as we had feared, it all comes down to this last battle. I will lol hard if after all that work, Naruto still gets captured.

Also, the last frame with Naruto in it, the one where we see him in Sage Mode, it kept reminding me of a torpedo.

So Naruto got to find out who his father was. Strangely enough, I already knew that.

Naruto got to find out that Madara was the one controlling Akatsuki from the shadows. Again, already knew that.

We find out that Madara has a unique skillset that can only be overcome through the use of a special power. Really? I thought they'd just keep trying to stab him for a few hours and see how that worked out.

Yawn.

Guess I'll have to wait another week for the fight to start back up.

...As much fun as it was seeing Naruto falcon punch Yondy in the stomach, I have to agree with Howdy that it pretty much just re-capped what we already know. Yondy rewound the plot four chapters and now we have SEININ MODO!Naruto ready to continue the fight.

I can't stop thinking about bleach for some reason. Six-tails kept giving me hollow flashbacks, and now the injured protanonist got taken over by his super-powered evilside, did massive damage to the opponent his three day power up transformation couldn't beat, got back control from his evil side and starts fighting his now crippled opponent like he wasn't even struggling with him five minutes ago. The only difference from a standard bleach boss fight is that the non action girl is dying as opposed to standing around.

 

something I don't understand..
If Yondaime knew about Jiraiya and Tobi, which implies he exist in his consciousness or something, then why did Yondaime not know about Naruto not knowing about his heritage?
In the Sleepyfans version of the manga, he said in in p5, "I guess the 3th didn't tell you anything."
Just thought there is a contradiction here.
