"Do not believe in yourself, believe in me, who believes in you!"

I didn't hate this chapter as much as I thought I would.

The Yondaime is so awesome. ;_;

 

It was one of those necessary, but pretty boring chapters,
the only highlight was the punch.
We all knew this stuff already, but finally the main character knows it,too.


....Should just have looked into a mirror and hold a history book next to his reflection...*sigh*

 

I'd have enjoyed it more if Jiraiya and Tsunade hadn't had the conversation about Naruto's parentage a lot of chapters before hand. The name was useful but I would have preferred Naruto to be the one to find out with us behind him at the same time.

 

This wasn't a bad chapter imo (boring but not bad), but it did feel very Lion Kingish. Minato comes in to a doubting Simba/Naruto "SIMBA/Naruto!" Followed by "BECOME WHO YOU WERE BORN TO BE" and fades away into the clouds/seal.

They also made the fox kinda of a pussy with him growling all upset in the background. Sort of like a whiny child.

 

*turns on the Elton John*

"Can you feel the love tonight?"

*requests permission from Lord Ravenclaw for spork*

"The peace the even... woh! What are you doing? No that doesn't go in there? Stooooop!"

*leaves Elton John to bleed out from rectum and returns spork to LR's lair*

That about sums up the bad parts of this chapter for me. I had a brief moment of joy when Naruto decked his dad, but then it devolved into:

"and the award for ubervillain goes to... TOBI!"

Despite my irritation the chapter wasn't bad it was necessary for storyline progression I suppose and the father/son moment was cute. I'm curious though it depicts Naruto standing on the mini-moon thingie with sage form going on, wasn't he out of sage chakra or was there one more clone?

I look forward to more Naruto/Pein kicking the shit out of eachother next chapter.

 

There was indeed one more clone, Naruto only used up one during his fight. The thing we need to know is how did he get the Sage chakra when what we have seen so far requires the shadow clone to be reverse summoned through the big scroll.

 

I thought the exact same fucking thing. XD

It even resembles Gurren Lagann, The scene where Kamina comes to wake everyone up from the dream world.


Kishimoto caters to the fan opinion too much, S'why I'm starting to hate Anime/Manga. I mean yeah, Fan service is epic and lulzy, but not EVERY FUCKING CHAPTER! I like Fan service, but I like god damn plot development more. >_>

 

Both went exactly as expected, but Bleach had more awesome stuff.

So yeah, Bleach.

 

The chapter had nothing new. It wasn't bad really, it was meh. Nothing happened at all.

This chapter does make me sad however. Madara is weak excuse of a character. Yes, the fight with Tobi might be funny, but I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much as I would have if Pein was the final villain. The whole Uchiha thing has been ruining the manga and this chapter is just further proof.

Pein? I think we would all have enjoyed a final battle where Naruto and Pein fight for what they thought was right, what they thought would be for the good of their world. One where little lost girls don't walk in on the best bit, where Pein is healthy and the Rinnengan was really the all powerful doujutsu that most of us were somewhat hoping for after the fail of the Uchiha chapters.

Madara, I can somewhat understand as to why he would be the last villain from this chapter. I suppose he is meant to represent everything that is wrong with the Naruto verse. Where revenge for the sake of revenge runs rampant.

But it is just not interesting.

And that there is the problem.

 

Political fallout with Iwa during a moment of extreme weakness for Konoha? Yeah. Bad times are definitely coming if that does happen.

Honestly, if you believe that magical power-ups are good writing all I can say is L O L.

More win than fail with this one methinks.

 

Good chapter this one, I particularly liked the image with Naruto's sage mode eyes behind Nagato. And it looks like Deva Pain is going to get ripped to bits. Unless Pain pulls off some miraculous escape, it does look like the fight will end next chapter.

I really like the way Naruto found the real Pein by using the chakra receiver against him...I was hoping that he'll throw the last RS at the mountain instead.
