Well, when the best(?) medic in the village and Tsunade's protege says she doesn't know when Tsunade will wake up, its a safe bet that the condition won't change for a bit.

Anyone love Kishi's timing with bringing another huge boobed blonde to Konoha just as the previous incarnation is taken off stage? Brilliant. The Hokage selection itself wasn't too bad, just way too fast. Danzo had some decently valid points about the Sandaime's teaching being responsible for Konoha being attacked twice, and that was a pretty smooth lie, pinning the Uchiha Massacre on Hiruzen.

Why the hell was the Daimyo there with his advisors anyway? And why do Sandaime's teammates loathe him and all his students so much?

And the real question, when is Naruto going to get a new cloak so I can stop looking at his jumpsuit. Makes him look like a fatty. Also, if intelligence and leadership abilities are all it takes then Shikaku should be Hokage.

 

I'm betting that Sasuke's approach would be detected by Konoha - Sasuke learns that Danzou is Hokage => Sasuke gets more angry.
And Danzou orders Naruto's team to kill Sasuke, and we get lotsa angst and emo-ness before everyone hugs each other and pronounces they're all cool. Then they return to Konoha together only to be sentenced as traitors.

But I honestly have no idea where the Kumo delegation comes in the picture.

 

The whole Danzou thing's left me completely lost. It just seemed too convenient, something a fanfic author would do for a not-so-well-thought-out 'twist'.

Danzou raised good points about the Sandaime's mistakes but 'Ok its settled, Danzou you'll be Hokage' was a bit like rock-paper-scissors to me.

You'd think it'd cost Konoha quite a bit image-wise to have a Hokage with Danzou's handicap, but once again it turns out my take on the Naruto world doesn't exactly match with its creator's.
The FireLord was a huge disappointment as a character from the glimpse we've seen. He's well indecisive for such a powerful leader. He basically listened to the Nara, everyone nodded heads and then he said yes. Danzou raises a point and nominates him self and then he gets an instant yes as well?

Meh..

At least Naruto didn't become Hokage right away, that would have just been silly.

Its funny, I remember making a similar recommendation for Hokage a few chapters back (Kakashi) giving exactly the same reasons as given in the manga and it wasn't taken very well... In yo face! whoever thought Kakashi wasn't prime candidate...

 

Do you really think Naruto is going to let Danzou be the Hokage? Aside from the fact that the entire village idolizes him now, he does not like Danzou. Naruto rebelling equals Konoha rebelling. This is just for Drama while Kishi digs deep to pull more shit out his ass.

 

I can't recall when Naruto met Danzou, any links to the comic? Or a general area to search?

 

I didn't say they'd met, but Naruto most certainly knows of Danzou. Most recent was Nagato's oh so sad story, featuring...

Naruto knows this; if he doesn't, he will soon enough.

 

Quite a leap in logic there...

Well, I don't think it will be quite as easy as Naruto pointing at Danzo and saying "No, I don't like you!"

Heck I don't think he is capable of making the arguments to the Fire Lord necessary to get the Hokage's hat knocked off Danzo's head as he's written in cannon. And frankly most the bullet list that Cxjenious gave us wouldn't hold much water with the council and advisers.

Save for the first one.

Naruto knows from Nagato's story that:

1-Danzo was an ally of Hanzo the Salamander, and frankly you don't want a military leader who allies himself with an enemy power in order to get a leadership position in his own country.

2-Danzo previously attacked the Akatsuki. While not a disqualifying factor in and of itself, its pretty obvious he never shared any of the intelligence from this encounter with the rest of Konoha. Considering the actions that just occurred and the fact that Jiraiya was killed trying to gather intel that Danzo already had, I'd argue that's high treason.

The information is still suspect because it came from an enemy ninja, but if Naruto mentions this in front of the Nara, or somebody else notes Danzo smells of frogs blood, considing that Tsunade ordered the messenger frog to dispell in front of several witnesses and Danzo and if they determine it was murdered . . .

The hat maybe in reach but there's a lot that can still go wrong for Danzo.

 

As I said over at ADD, I believe that this thing with Danzou = Hokage is just a ploy to let Sasuke get his revenge on the people that arranged his clan's annihilation, without pissing off Naruto too much.

So, Sasuke gets his revenge, and is back on the "Good Guyz" team.

 

That's why I don't care about this series anymore. Ever since the Valley of the End all went downhill.

 

You could argue that it has been going downhill since the Chunin Exam arc.

 

Really, you could argue that the series was never really as good as it's made out to be and we're still following it on the off chance that Kishi gets lucky and repeats the awesome of the Wave Arc.

Zabuza sword cannot be beat, and Naruto has jumped the Kisame.

 

You all seem to think that Naruto will give two flying fucks what the Daimyo or Council decides. Or that I was referring to him "appealing" to them to get the hat removed. No. Not at all.

I'm hoping it goes the civil war route. It would be a whole lot more interesting the whole 'NO U' moments I see coming in the manga.

you gotta pay attention to people faces sometimes. The fire lord looks gay, and was going to choose the leader of his millitary army due the fact that he 'liked' Jiraya, or Kakashi since he was Minato student, who learned from Jiraya, taught by the Sandaime.

Right after that we have Danzo's fierce rant, complete with a bitchy war cry and 'Im the man bitches.". We can see the Fire Lord cowering behind that sissy fan and the slightly smirking advisor that I just bet Danzo paid off.

But yea, if Sasuke just kills him and get back to his friends, who will learn all about the evilness of the sharingan and head towards an ultimate battle agaisnt Madara, and right after Sasuke will use his over 9000 tomoes sharingan to rip the nine tails from Naruto and conquer the world, Cannon will achieve utter failness.

 

My expectation is so low for the series right now, I don't think anything can shake me anymore. Good and bad.

That might be the point to the fillers and downers? To build immunity?

 

New chapter up. Absolutely terrible. The entire chapter is just used to build up to Danzo declaring Sasuke a missing-nin. WTF?
