Upgrades.
This is like talking about the softwares we use at work for various kinds of studies. There's an "upgrade" out every few months and it drives everyone spare...

"Hey, the Sharingan's due for an upgrade soon...have to go check the fanfiction sites for new ideas. Damn, what a drag!!"

 

So.... how the fuck did Sasuke get so strong again?

 

Hey doesn't Susano supposed to act like a mirror? Deflect the attacks back at the attackers? That`s what I remember from the Itachi-Sasuke fight.

 

If that were the case, Sasuke would've been toasted with his own Kirin technique.

The 'supernatural item' Yata's mirror is a part of Susano'o, and while the translation I'm reading has Zetsu saying it can 'turn back any attack', it would seem that just means blocking any attack, not actually reflecting it...

 

Darkness....? Well, at least that's what Kishi'd have us believe.

I suppose this chapter wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting it to be; at least Gaara recognises when there's no reasoning with someone and its time to act. I can only hope Naruto adopts the same attitude.

I don't understand why Sasuke's saying you need 'the double mangekyo' for Susano'o since Itachi had the technique and to my understanding his mangekyo was the first level. Unless of course he means you need to have two mangekyo eyes (which puts it out of Madara's reach.

I can easily see Sasuke being the ultimate villain now.... and it sucks....hard.

Its like he's got no limit to his chakra all of a sudden. Its gonna be heart breaking to see him on nearly equal footing with Naruto when using all nine tails of Kyūbi's chakra, which is pretty much what I see happening in the not too distant future. As I recall Amaterasu uses fuck loads of chakra yet he's throwing it around like confetti, plus he hasn't used his curse seal hax yet.

 

I love it how Sasuke is able to use all those superior Sharingan techniques on his first try, I mean he never practiced them and can just pull them off in the midst of a dangerous battle in a perfect way.

Yeah, the tear on Gaara was unneccessary but it is good to know that he still is a dangerous opponent, I was scared to find out that without the One-tails he would be just a "normal" ninja, although he probably now is the weakest Kage.

Is he defense still automatic though, we didn't really see any indication to that, but his sand is still as awesome as ever.

From all the Sharingan users, Kakashi was the most realistic in the way that his was so hard to control and had such a big drawback that it was literally a last ditch effort, sink or swim if you will. You hit, you probably win, you miss and you are as good as dead.

Itachi also kind of deserved the uber Sharingan techniques as we were told time and time again that he was this badass ninja whose strength was so great, he killed this large clan of Sharingan users in one night, the techniques were fitting him.

Sasuke on the other hand, didn't really need them and what is with this whole "he has too much darkness" shit? It seems really ridiculous.

Edit: Why would Itachi's Sharingan be on the first level? It is the same as Sasuke's. it can only evolve if Sasuke had taken Itachi's eyes, which he didn't, that would give birth to the last technique, which is not Susanoo.

 

About the darkness...I remember Yamato mention something about dark and light elements to Naruto, like wind, when he was trying to perfect the Rasen-shuriken. Kakashi says he doesn't need to worry about that yet. Or it could be that I'm reading too much Naruto Fanfiction. >_>

 

Yeah but that dark referred to Shikamaru's shadow techniques and no one mentioned anything about him having this "Aura of menacing Darkness". It is probably a mixture of killing intent and the "pollution of the mind" or some crap like that.

 

If I recall correctly, the mirror and genjutsu sword were unique to Itachi's Susanoo, as in they were items he found and incorporated into the jutsu, thus Orochimaru complaining about spending so much time looking for the sword when Itachi had it all along.

 

As I understand it, Sasuke has the eternal mangekyo- which Itachi most definitely did NOT have.

This is where its gets tricky....

I think Itachi gifted his power to Sasuke before he died, presumably to kill Madara. You know the whole forehead poke before he died thing.
He left Sasuke with all of his eye techniques as protection (I don't know the specifics of how he did it but if anyone could, it would be Itachi).

I think he anticipated Sasuke would find out the truth of the massacre eventually and realise his brother left him alive because he loved him. The subsequent grief or regret of killing his brother would trigger Sasuke's own Mangekyo transformation (they're brothers afterall) and the combination would give him a sort of eternal mangekyo.

Its interesting because as I write this I'm starting to realise something; every Mangeyko user has their own trademark techniques and so far we've only seen Sasuke use Itachi's. I think we can expect another Sasuke power-up in the not too distant future when he discovers his own three techniques- unstoppable force, immovable object and the last 'cheat', mecha-susano'o equipped with lightsaber and anti-matter shielding.

 

tl;dr

Sasuke doesn't have the Eternal Mange-whatever it is called- Sharingan. He has the regular one, that's why he's bleeding from the eyes, living the dream of every emo kid. If I remember correctly you could just gain the eternal one if you transplanted your brothers eyes; Madara told him to get them transplanted, but he refused to do so.

Sharingan aside, I'm getting bored of this shit. Every new chapter the Sharingan gets a ridiculously overpowered upgrade for no reason at all than bad plot armor. If Kishimoto had balls, the logical outcome in a fight between two kages, three jounins and Sasuke should be the biggest rapestomp in the Uchiha's life.

We all know it won't happen, though: Either he'll win, or someone will get his ass out of danger before things get too hairy like with the 8 tails or Deidara.

 

Double Mangekyo = Mastery of both Mangekyo-only jutsu

Mastery of both = As soon as you get the eyes. Itachi also likely transferred his mastery top Sasuke during the finger poke.

Jutsu elements: Only the 5 basic ones are real elements. The rest are elemental compounds. Yamato specifcally states that Wood and Ice don't exist as elements. Dark and Light don't either. That's Yin-Yang, a sub-type in Chakra. Like Yang Fire and Yin Water.

Reason Sasuke is Uber compared to Itachi in terms of Chakra: In the manga, it was specifically stated that Sasuke went under surgery and drug treatments for a Chakra capacity augment. That's why he can spam techs much more, he literally has a crap ton of chakra.

A theory I have is that each generation/immeadiate family of Uchiha have their own set of Mangekyo techs, so each gen/family will always have the same set of techs.

If you want to see the original arguments that I'm pulling info from, look up Lord Raine on TFF. These are mainly the facts that he has compiled from the manga listed in summary.

 

Databook says that Susano'o is fueled by life energy (how that differs from good ol' chakra, I'm still not sure), so Sasuke may very well be reaching the limits of what his body can take, despite the "OMG, darkness!" garbage that everyone is spewing. After all, Itachi collapsed and died after using this technique, and while he was fatally ill to begin with, it was Susano'o that killed him.

Personally, I believe that Madara sent Sasuke to the Summit to fail, and fail miserably. Sasuke won't manage to kill anyone of import, because doing so would make it almost literally impossible for him to be redeemed.

Finally, Itachi's Susano'o was a great defense but seriously lacked in offense, unless of course you count Orochimaru literally jumping on his sword. I'm withholding judgement until I see Sasuke whip some Kages with his awesome powers. Frankly, Raikage had him on the ropes until he pulled out his trump card. As powerful as Susano'o may be, we almost certainly won't be seeing anything more impressive from Sasuke in this fight.

Sasuke more or less abandoned his teammates because of this "Darkness" so not that much happens. Although the Mizukage may have an incredibly hot technique....

 

Yoton was a consequence of having the four tailed monkey sealed inside the old man, now Mizukage has it...awesome?

 

His was fire and earth to create lava as far as I understand it, maybe hers is water and fire to create this acid/sticky fluid type stuff... then again the four tails was an ability given by a bijuu, hers is a blood line, so we will see next week how it works.
