Well yeah we have seen her in chapter when naruto was fighting pain and convert into nine tails, and beside Kakashi gained Mangayeko before saving gaara. do you even follow Manga.

While the chapter made the whole thing look a hell of a lot better than the spoiler portrayed it, I'm still pissed. The whole Samehada thing just reeks of deus ex machina to me, and Kishimoto is no Kubo.

 

Heh, I enjoyed this chapter. Just the way Samehada looked like a puppy standing guard over its master before Kisame kicked it was both adorable and hilarious. Also, bets on Kisame absolutely raping the water guy in Sasuke's team so that he can take Zabuza's old sword?

 

...But he was the one who attacked Kisame in the beginning of the fight. Also, they're ninjas. Even by Kishimoto-universe standards they work in cells/teams from when they're genin, so, no reason to hold back because its 'Bee's fight'. And I imagine he would have atleast one jutsu that could've been useful/complimentary to Bee's jutsus. Not saying it would actually have been useful, but atleast it would have looked like he was seriously trying and not just providing commentry. >_>

LOL. This would be awesome. Also, if he kicked some Sasuke butt, just for the sake of it, would be awesome too. <_<

 

Meh.

In the end I'm a bit more disappointed that a character as awesome and powerful as Killer Bee got set up against a guy who is literally built in every way to be his perfectly broken opponent. The fact that Killer Bee performed so well when Kisame had the perfect counter to his every move just goes to show how awesome Bee is.

I would be incredibly upset if Killer Bee were captured simply because Kisame was his opponent. It's clear that Bee is the superior fighter in every way at this point.

What pissed me off is that even Hachibi said it was getting low on chakra. Thats pretty freaking lame. Unless 'low' for the 8 tails is about 100 times everyone else.

I'm actually hoping that Bee goes full bijuu mode and nukes the shit out of Kisame.

 

True, Bee under different circumstances should definitely have had this in the bag, regrettably, that's only one of the things that annoyed me about this chapter. I can't help but feel everything done with Kisame recently wasn't part of the original plan but was quickly contrived after Kishimoto realised he'd more or less killed off the Akatsuki.

First he's Itachi's (less cool) partner but still fairly cool and powerful. Then one week you read stuff like 'that's why he's known as the human Bijuu' and you can't help but go...wait...what!? Then he does Samehada merge and 'super shark combo' (I'm having flashbacks of 'ELBOW!' and can't help but admire Kishi's increasingly poetic jutsu names) absorbed almost all of the 8-tails' chakra according to the 8-tails itself and more or less routs Bee. *sigh*

I dunno... Am I once again expecting too much from a series aimed at 14 year olds......

An interesting twist for sure, though kind of strange. Maybe Did Not Do The Research applies here? Or maybe just on my part, I didn't think that sharks were so "OM NOM NOM OCTOPUS!", figuring they just liked "OM NOM NOM MEAT!".

Damn it, I had this niggling feeling in the back of my head that was saying the sword had been destroyed but I couldn't find any proof of it with the five minutes I spent googling.

 

Its probably for the best anyways... Samehada turned out to be a total slut.

Why?

Kisame was a poorer ninja than Bee, and certainly poorer than Raikage. Here's an Akatsuki that actually got taken down by characters stronger than he was. I don't see the issue with that.

Kisame has been a rather throw-away villain ever since he admitted inferiority to Jiraiya back in part 1.

 

Good chapter. I had a feeling that Kisame was going to bite it despite him having the upper hand for the first part of the battle.

And fucking cliffhanger. I want to know what Sai's going to tell Naruto.

 

Kisame admitting to being inferior to Jiraiya isnt all that important. Nearly every character we have seen is inferior to Jiraiya.


It just seemed to sudden and way to easy considering how powerful Kisame is supposed to be.

 

Well, Kisame was fairly worn down by fighting Killer Bee, and it's been established that without Samehada Kisame is nothing special. Against the Raikage and a Killer Bee being revitalized by Samehada (and Kisame's consquent lack of said sword) he should die pretty easily.

Also, I heartily agree with Demons In The Night that cliffhangers are aggravating.

 

The only thing special about Kisame was his ability to use high level Water Jutsu without a source of water (which is pretty impressive actually). Everything else about him, his stamina, massive chakra reserves etc. was Samehada.

Sai tells Naruto that Sakura wants to kill Sasuke to save him the pain.
