Nothing in the manga would imply that more than one summon contract is impossible. What the manga does imply is that gaining a workable summon contract requires more than simply signing a contract, doing the seals, and providing the chakra.

A summoner does not have control over his summon by default. Summons are partners in battle, and require their summoner to entice them to assist them in a fight.

For instance, Orochimaru gains Manda's allegiance by offering him sacrifices. Jiraiya and Tsunade have very good relations with their summons - in a sense they are friends/teachers/students/companions.

I just don't see what Sasuke has to offer a summon, though. He's a treacherous psycho bastard. Who would want to help him?

I think you're referring to the manga since Rage!Sasuke entered the scene.

I found the fight between Nagato and Naruto to be very technical, as well as the very short skirmish between Naruto and Karui/Omoi.

I'm just not liking the way Sasuke's character is moving. Even Nagato's jutsu had large drawbacks. It doesn't seem that's the case for Sasuke.

 

Anyone consider that he may have gotten the Hawk Summoning Scroll from the Secret Uchiha Stash of Every Weapons, Jutsu Scroll, and Ninja Guidelines? just a thought...

 

Well, he killed Manda before the fight with Itachi and he could summon a Snake during that fight so he could still do it than.

The thing about the summons is, most people think hat Sasuke was "purged" from the Snake summons when Oro was removed from his body, which i simply don't believe since the summons per se had nothing to do with Oro in his body. On the other hand he did not use a single snake summon since his fight against Itachi even though they were a big part of his fighting style.

I mean flight is all cool and stuff but summoning snakes without handseals to absorb damage and such seemed more practical.

True, for most cases he used his snakes as meat shields against powerful attacks but the snakes seemed practically made for that. (excluding the mind numbingly stupid Manda escape)

Well it needs to be seen if he can summon hawks or just this special hawk. Like Kakashi who can only summon the dogs he trained.

The onemanga scanlations from that early on are notoriously crappy translations so you have to take what they say with a rather large grain of salt if you want the truth of a situation. Then again, there've been enough retcons of Naruto staple jutsu (note: kage bunshin) from pre-to-post-timeskip that this may just be a case of Kishimoto changing the history to suit his current needs.

Sasuke completes his Susanoo (or whatever), Karin gets bitchslapped, and Danzo has Mokuton, and the face of an Uchiha grafted onto his arm along with the eyes.

Meh.

 

The chapter sucked, big time. Karin was great and Sasuke's Susanoo changes were unexplained but the Mokuton of Danzo is just retarded. And that means something if his last power-up was the Sharinganarm. Just recycling the old abilities is just lazy writing, even more if it makes no sense for Danzo to have it since Oro lefet the village before the Kyuubi attack, hence he didn't know jackshit about the eminent Kyuubi attack and the fact that there will be a Jinchuruuki to control.

Even though I had lowered my expectations, I was still disappointed, even more if you compare it to One Piece.

This. I tell you Kishi secretly wants to rename the manga Sasuke.

 

Danzo's abilities piss me off far more than nearly anything Sasuke did. (except the manda scene) First Sharinganarm and now Mokuton.

 

I, for one, think it's fascinating. The idea that you can implant all kinds of crazy shit into your body for cheap powerups is amusing as hell. Granted, it is probably so rare because powerful bloodlines themselves are a pretty big rarity, and stealing body parts/DNA of members of your village/clan would be the height of taboo. And not to mention the fact that it is probably insanely risky and takes a serious scientist type like Orochimaru to be successful with it.

Mokuton itself shouldn't be all that surprising seeing as Yamato is living fact that the First's DNA, and thus his skills, can be transplanted (although, I believe Yamato was the only one to survive that particular experiment). It's only really surprising because Danzo already had major hax upgrades to his arm.

This battle is turning out quite wtf, but in a good way. This is one of the better recent chapters imo. Just needs to hurry up with the Sasuke plot and get back to shit that matters.

 

Got the feeling that Kishi is trying to jack up Sasuke/Sharingan to god-levels in order to make Naruto's victory in the end that much more amazing. But then Naruto may just sacrifice himself to seal the 10-tails away or some such and that'd be that.

 

What a shit ending that would be.

 

You people whine too much. Even its saddening that it's a recyling of bloodlines for Danzo's abilities, the fact is, Danzo's trolling Sasuke. Fact is, he's been trolling him hard through the entire fight, and the only reason Sasuke's alive is because:
1. He spams A and S-rank jutsus like it's going out of style
2. Danzo hasn't done much in the way of attacking. It's like Madara when he distracted Naruto and Co. in the Itachi/Sasuke fight.

Sure, I'd have loved Danzo to be a Genjutsu/Seal/Wind jutsu master, with no Sharingan or Mokuton and for the sealed arm to be something new and unique, but as is, this is a pretty good chapter and arc in general.

@Vylos: He's not trying, he's succeeding. Every character Sasuke meets is noting the maliciousness of his chakra. And guess what Bjuu are made of besides chakra? malice and evil. He's gonna end up as some eldritch being of evil.

 

Fact is, new chapter was meh. Sure, Danzo having Mokuton was moar wtfhax, but it's pretty damn close to what I was expecting out of the guy. People don't realize, but Danzo has far-reaching resources, and it's fairly easy for a council-member to go on 'vacation' to Rice Country and visit Sound while he's out there. Sasuke's new Susanoo is fucking gay, there is no other word for it. We go from a guy who was, at first, an up-close-and-personal fighter, to mid-range, and now we have ourselves an ARW. (All-Range Warrior), since Sharingan is moar hax.

As for this business with Izanagi, I'm thinking that Danzo is secretly an Uchiha or some such gayness and that's why he's not dying of chakra exhaustion atm, and Izanagi is some form of Sharingan level that makes Mangekyou look like one tomoe.

Also, recently had this realization, dunno if anybody else has had it. The Aburame live in a symbiotic relationship with their Kikaichu and are, essentially, a walking hive. As the Kikaichu are chakra-eating insects, we can infer that the Kikaichu feed off an Aburame's chakra (I think Shino mentions this somewhere...), so it would make sense that an Aburame would have obscenely high levels of chakra, since the Kikai would have the same effect as exhausting your reserves every day. But the Kikai do this 24/7, and have no rest. Aburame are no Jinchuuriki, but they shouldn't be anything to brush off as insignificant either.

 

Could be, but with more chakra comes the ability to house more bugs, so I'd theorise that the Aburame with the most chakra in the clan would still be skirting near the edge of chakra exhaustion at all times since he'd have so many bugs feeding on him, but would also be a monster to fight (picture the sky turning black as he releases an entire swam of insects at his enemy). Alternately, the bugs likely wouldn't have to eat all the time (nor at the same time) so he'd have a constant level of chakra at some percentage of his total capacity, though after a certain point he'd probably be keeping to the same level no matter how much chakra he accumulates due to having a constantly increasing number of bugs housed on his person.

 

Also, do keep in mind that the human vessel would only be able to physically house so many bugs so there would most likely be a point where they reach a limit and the bugs grow stronger due to being able to suck more charka as time goes on. Most likely why the bugs keep changing abilities etc as time goes on, as they get stronger.

So yeah, there would be a physical limit of bugs I do think.

 

While it's technically a bit off topic, I think it has to be said that the anime version of Killer Bee is just as crazy awesome as I was hoping he would be.
