Not exactly. I'm kind of hoping he'll have gotten over his somewhat justified panic attack and is now going to do something about Sasuke.

As for the spoilders, IMO she's almost certainly planning some sort of backstab on Sasuke. It makes sense I suppose; every single person in this thread has said that she has no chance against him in a fair fight, so catching him off guard would be her only chance of actually managing to kill him. If she plays to his expectations (weak obsessed fangirl) Sasuke will not trust her, but he might dismiss Sakura as an immediate physical threat. After all, as far as we know he is unaware of her super-strength.

 

Sakura's gonna have to do something extreme to prove to Sasuke she can be useful though, and Karin is just lying there making a mess on the dirt with her blood.

 

^This is pretty much what I'm waiting to see, if shes going to try and backstab Sasuke I'll keep going with this because that actually could be pretty good but if it turns out that this is legit what shes doing and she's actually just leaving with him then I don't really see how I'm going to press forward reading this.

 

Sakura knows that all she has to do is follow Sasuke around with a kunai and let someone else beat him to within an inch of his life, then simply perform the killing blow on his broken, blind, and bleeding ass.

Sakura actually joining Sasuke legitimately would annoy the hell out of me as well; the one aspect of her character that appeals to me has been her gradual development from a shallow, vapid fangirl with no real skills to a respectable ninja and semi-decent human being. Joining Sasuke and reverting back into being a shallow, vapid fangirl pretty much ruins her as a character. My guess is that Kishimoto will draw things out for maximum drama, and so that Sakura's backstab of Sasuke comes at a suitably dramatic moment.

Considering Sasuke's track record in fights I think he might be tempted by the chance to get a new medic now that his current one is kind of dead. Killing Karin was pretty stupidly shortsighted considering the fact that he would have died without her healing powers in most of the major fights he's been in since she joined.

And yes. Sakura says she wants to tag along with Sasuke :3

Not to mention that unless Kishi pulls something out of his ass, which he probably will, this little stunt will effectively doom her career as a Leaf ninja. Nobody's going to trust a ninja at their back that went off half cocked on some insane lone wolf mission to save Kanoha. The recklessness behind this whole event makes me question how in the world she even made Chuunin, aren't they supposed to be smarter then that?

To top it off the only one that's going to believe her in the end is going to be Naruto, you know he will, everybody else will just assume that she panicked and decided she wanted to come back to Kanoha, so she killed Sasuke to make it look like that was her plan all along.

At least that's what I would think if I was in a position of authority, and didn't have a third person perspective.

It doesn't matter because he invented the Shishi Rendan after the Forest of Death (during the Preliminaries).

 

As others have said, Sasuke's choice of attack vs. the bear was an obvious error on Kishimoto's part.

Sakura going for a backstab seems even more likely now that I've seen the chapter. Her reaction to seeing him is way to abrupt for it to be genuine; one second she's thinking about how he's so evil she barely recognizes him, and the next she's defecting. Also, I would think that a genuine defection would have been a bit more foreshadowed; I'm pretty sure we're just getting a cliffhanger ending so Kishimoto can fuck with his readers for a bit.

Surprised Yamato fell for Naruto's tricky escape; he really should have been suspicious as hell when Naruto went along with the order to return to Konoha with almost no trouble. Of course, Kakashi was having a moment of unusual stupidity if he ever expected Naruto to go along with an order like that in the first place; there's no way he would ever just stand back and do nothing while Sakura and his friends are in mortal peril.

 

Kishi is epic troll.
