I know. What I mean is when Madara will extract Kyūbi from him.

That side of the card is red, so I think it's safe to assume that the paper turned red from Konan's blood in the water

The frog costumes were somewhat ridiculous I think, but I have to admit I got a good laugh out of going WTF.

I liked the history here. Just seems like the story of Konan, Nagato, and Yahiko was kind of a let down when a lot more could have been done with it.

While I have no idea what the hell Jiraiya was thinking with those almost furry like costumes, as far as a flashback summary goes, this was quite enjoyable. I'm more interested in Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan than I currently am with the rest of the series. Also, I'm getting sick of 'Madara'. My guess is that he's either Obito, or the black-haired ninja that attacked them during the Kakashi Gaiden arc. I was almost hoping that Tobi's trick was something simple, like a bunshin/shunshin combo, or something.

This chapter was mixed. The flashback was funny, and it did sound like something Jiraiya would do, don't you think? But Madara is getting more and more fail as he goes. And get this, he said something about having three paths. Which I assume is the Sharingan, the Rinnegan and something else. I'm guessing filler-like, epid-length arcs searching for the other Paths before Madara gets them. Which would fail. Hard.
While his mask seems ridiculous to me, his whole new look does seem badass and I look forward to his fight with Naruto.

The third path is Hashirama's wood element.

I thought it was the Senju Chakra? Oh which Naruto has now and Madara seemingly stole.

    ...

Madara just told us that he's Madara. Why is it that every week there's some idiot who still brings up the Tobi-is-not-Madara theory? He just told us that he fought Hashirama at the VotE in order to steal his powers.

Jiraiya is a major hypocrite for not letting Naruto wear Gai's suit now. At least Naruto was never subjected to the toad torture.

...why do people believe a single word out of "Madara's" mouth?

Not a jab at you, Howdy - just wondering why everyone thinks he's a reliable narrator?

So you would prefer to believe that a 15-year-old dead kid fought the 4th Hokage and engineered his death and Konoha's destruction?

    Cool story.

    Nope.

Personally I believe that Madara's just bullshitting no matter what he says. I'm half expecting him to say he's really Naruto's father when he next meets Naruto. Or that he's the reincarnation of the Sage of 6 Paths...... Oh, wait.

That's just it. We don't know if Naruto was put through the same stupid frog bullshit during his training. :facepalm

Natural progression, we get some Naruto screen time and find out wtf was in Kabuto's coffin at the end.

Also, couldn't/didn't Kabuto ressurrect Pain? If he didn't he should've, there's the eyes right there. No need to fight and kill Konan.

Obviously Edo Tensei has limitations to it that haven't been explicitly stated in the manga. Otherwise it would be a completely broken jutsu. A time limit on its effects is pretty obvious, given the evidence.

I seriously doubt that. The Rinnegan should not be so easily copied. Remember that the Impure Resurrection Technique uses first and foremost random bodies to ressurect people. If Kabuto were to resurrect Pain and Madara popped his eyes, they'd probably turn back to the dead guy's eyes.

Also a good way to get Sharigans and dead people's bloodlines.

Also, Madara could get Kabuto to endo tensai the Sage himself. Now that would be omgwtfbbqhax.

He'd need to have the access to the Sage's body if he's to use edo-tensei to resurrect him. I don't believe he can randomly use sacrificed bodies to summon uber-ninja from the dead without having something of said uber-ninja to summon with.

I think Republic21 got it right. If Kabuto pulled out Edo-Tensei!Pain, he'd obviously have the Rin'negan, but the moment Madara pops the eye out, it'd stop being the Rin'negan. In any case, the eye wouldn't survive beyond the time the technique wears off.

And most likely, resurrected Pain would simply keep growing another Rin'negan eye as Madara keeps popping the eye out, until his soul is released.
