Not for a long term, but just before a battle, only for so long that instead killing each other they will kill a real enemy? That could happen. Was Gaara's speech good enough to do it? It's hard to tell, because with these speeches more important of what you say (unless you say something totally inappropriate) is how you say it.

I'm all for somebody (Itachi or no) breaking Kabuto's bullshit Edo Tensai. But the rest of that paragraph is just ridiculous. Itachi might have been really fucking good, but I doubt he could beat Sasuke or Naruto by himself at this point. Let alone Madara as well.

All I'm hoping for at this point is a decent arc for all of the battles. And praying that all of the revived people don't magically survive after the Edo Tensai is dropped/broken. That would just be so... Kishimoto.

 

From the moment I saw Kabuto doing massive Edo Tensai, I can see the end of manga with every (even the ones Kabuto didn't bring back) good guy returning back to life with use of some Pure (as opposed to impure) World Resurrection powered by Jubi.

 

I just had a thought: Why didn't Madara have Kabuto ressuruct the Uchiha clan? Pretty sure they'd all be pissed about Konoha killing them, and an army of undead Uchiha would be pretty hard to beat.

Also, Kishimito has just totally fucked over Madara.

Kyuubi HAS NO chakra left he's just some left over consciousness without power.

His power is now divided up between the Shinigami and naruto.

Naruto could just go: "What, you want Kyuubi? Sure, go ahead."

Madara was fucked already because Minato sealed half of Kyuubi beyond all reach, effectively screwing his plans to rebuild the Juubi. Now he's extra fucked.

Chapter was nice until the first page of Gaara's speech, from the second page on it became pretty bad. Liked the conversations of the ressurected ones but from there on ...

Also, no matter how many guys Naruto kills, as long as he does that in that stupid glowing form I will never find him cool. He looks plain retarded.

 

I agree, the conversations of the ressurected exceeded my expectations but Gaara's speech was typically Kishimoto-cheesy and vexing.

I thought it looked ok the first time it happened but the drawing's been pretty inconsistent. It'll interesting to see what he learns from Bee now that he's done playing jenga.

I hope this Anko at least leads to better fanfic characterisation. Typical 'village abuses me cuz I'm a snake-whore' and 'I say shit-stain or something to that effect every sentence' Anko is a pet peeve of mine.

Also, I'm surprised he hasn't brought back Jiraiya since he's going with the whole emotional pain angle. Surely he would have been far more usefull than several of the people revived instead.

Kabuto said that maintaining so many undead was really hard, and he didn't have too much control over them besides their movements. He would die the moment he tried to bring back so many people.


And I though that Naruto's Kyuubi form was very awesome :/

I don't think Naruto is in sage mode at the moment. He is only just now beginning to learn how to use kyuubi's power. Sage mode will be his trumph card i reckon.

That's because it's fucking spelt that way. In Japanese the word 'pain' isn't pronounced as it is in English, so Kishimoto picked the closest sounding Japanese syllables to give Pein the correct sounding name. Of course that's too difficult for most people to understand so most just call him Pain. >_>

It's rather a pet peeve of mine that characters' fucking names will be translated, no matter if 'Pein' is pronounced differently here or not.

 

No, his name is spelt ペイン. You can romanize it however you want - there's no one true romanization method, and bitching about which one you prefer is just ignorant.

Since it's in Katakana, his name is meant to be an English word anyway.

The constant resurrections and people used against their own bugs me. I want some bloody boss fights, not freaking puppets going at it.

 

The only thing I'm interested now is how much shit needs to build up for Kishimoto to climb his way out of the hole he dug himself into.
