no shit, sherlock. this isn't about 'a bijuu being the entirety of a person's character'. his mistake was assuming Gaara was the equivalent of Naruto based on their status/role as a Jinchuuriki, instead of personality. no one said anything about Naruto being the Kyuubi or Gaara being the Ichibi or vice versa...

Kabuto said that by absorbing Orochimaru's chakra he'll get stronger, along with better control of the Edo Tensei. probably why Zabuza went all uber at that last panel.

Latest chapter out, though don't expect another until the 10th+ of January.

Kabuto still pulling his crazy shenanigans, and comments on how getting Orochimaru's chakra is a pretty big boost for him. Like he needed anything else.

 

Cool, new characters. And Gai is kinda a badass in this chapter.

Great he has turned Kabuto into his favorite character who is going to get power ups all the time. I honestly cant stand Kabuto now. He is the typical egomanic villian who cant shut the hell up.

Chapter wasn't bad. It was downright good compared to the last few. It was nice to see that beneath all the idiocy and crap Kishimoto has been force feeding us, he still has that same creativity that made Naruto so great back in the day. His new bloodlines are pretty sweet, if not a bit over the top. Hell, Yondy's even more of a beast now that we know he raped a village full of people who could literally Falcon Punch people into Bleach. The chick wasn't too bad either.

I have one problem: The lack of Naruto. While all this fighting is cool, and looking to get better as long as the right people (Kakashi, Gai, etc.) actually fight, rather than the nameless fodder, the manga's name is still Naruto. I would very much enjoy seeing him kick some zombie ass. Is it too much to see the title character get some screen time?

Any other complaints come either from Kabuto's Saturday-morning villain personality, or the utterly retarded war Kishimoto has set up. I know it isn't the most "ninja-like" ninja world, but having armies of 80,000 plus attacking each other en masse is just stupid IMO. Where's the fucking subterfuge?

 

One thing all too many people don't understand is that the ninja in Naruto aren't actually ninja and never have been. They are warriors that use ninjutsu, not silent assassins.

Expecting them to suddenly act like ninja- particularly at this point in the manga- is retarded.

 

Yes. Because a lot of the previous chapters have been around Naruto, and the smaller characters can always use some time to shine. Plus, he's training. So until he finishes that up, we don't get a GAR episode.

Yes, because having a scenario where 100,000 army of plant soldiers and an 80,000 army of primarily samurai soldiers with a few thousand mystical assassins who draw on their life force to create elemental magics, shatter the landscape and rape physics all go head to head with a double-dozen heaping of zombies thrown in is clearly a scenario where subterfuge is the required course of action. :facepalm

 

Anyone have any predictions, lets say for Naruto manga in 2011?

Meh. I remember a time where bloodlines were actually rare. Now with all those wtfhax ninjas around every corner, I find myself not amused at all by the increasing number of awesome bloodline limits.

Chapter was fine besides that. Good guys dying always makes me flinch.

 

Well, at least Kakashi is still a BAMF. That's really all that matters to me at this point. He's one of my favorite characters simply for his consistency throughout the manga.

 

This was actually a chapter beyond my wildest expectations at this point. I loved the new bloodline limits, I loved the seven swordsman and of course Kakashi.

I can only hope we stay far away from Naruto for a long time, since I have no doubt he will make this suck again.
