Curious to see what Nidaime Tsuchikage has up his sleeve. Is Kakashi finally going to get the props he deserves? If Kishi was being true to his Will of Fire thing, Kakashi should have been closer to the Sannin in power than he's been shown to be.

Stat wise, if you go by the what the databook says on Narutopedia, he is close to them. Total stats for Kakashi end up being a 34.5, while Orochimaru and Tsunade are 35 and Jiraiya's a 35.5.

Frankly, other than the Kakuzu fight, where he was hampered by a fairly incompetent Ino and Chouji and being forced to kill a fucking tough ninja five times, we haven't really seen Kakashi cut loose in all of part 2. The fight with Deidara was mostly Naruto, and the battle with Pein was against the strongest of the Realms, an opponent whose skills he had no idea about. Pein was pretty much beyond everyone else save Jiraiya and Naruto anyway, who both had Sage mode.

If Kishi doesn't ruin what looks to be the longest good chapter streak he's had in ages, Kakashi should be kicking zombie ass and taking names.

I'm just hoping to see Zabuza's sword taking some heads soon.

It seems his chakra capacity is a little small though, especially when he's actively using his Sharingan. It looks like he'll rely on Zabuza's sword to clear out the cannon fodder... which should be pretty interesting, since despite his ANBU background (as ANBU use swords), Kakashi's never really seemed like a swordsman-type ninja.

Anyway, it looks like Kishimoto will put Kakashi on hold for a while to focus on Gaara vs. the other Kage. ._.

Aside from Naruto, Kakashi is easily the closest to the Sannin that we have seen from Konoha. Like Inert said Stat wise only the Sannin and Itachi are higher, but we dont have stats for the majority of Akatsuki, Madara, the kages, current Sasuke, or current Naruto. I wouldnt be suprised if Kakashi isnt roughly equal with Tsunde when he really has a chance to cut loose. Kakashi is usually hampered by being completely outclassed(Nagato) or having to protect someone else.

Yeah, not buying it. Stats are all well and good as an aside, I suppose, but they don't seem to actually mean much to the actual story. Characters aren't fighting in a vacuum.

One of the overarching themes of Naruto has been characters picking up the torch of their predecessors and surpassing them. Shodai and Nidaime to Sarutobi. Sarutobi to the Sannin. Jiraiya to Minato. In keeping with that, Minato trained Kakashi, son of an S-Rank shinobi on par with the Sannin, should be S-Rank and not having trouble with the likes of Zabuza and Haku.

Can you imagine Zabuza touching any of the top tier shinobi? Including Naruto and Sasuke? Kakashi should be in that discussion. Hell, Kakashi should be stronger than Sasuke. Zabuza's shtick seems to be silent killing and swordsmanship.

I hope Kakashi goes absolutely nuts and takes out an S-Rank ninja somewhere along the line. Maybe one of the former Kage or a jinchuriki.

At the moment he seems to about to take on the rest of the Seven Swords. I think that will cement his badassery for just about everyone who hasn't already jumped on the "Kakashi is an S-ranked ninja who was 5 seconds away from being Hokage" bandwagon.

I wouldn't mind a year of Kakashi showing the 1,000+ jutsu he has copied as long as the fights are awesome.

I wish the Hokage's were involved, but then again - I don't think I could stand seeing anymore Gary-stu!Yondaime. And Kishi would probably ruin my view of Sandaime.

Best leave them where they are, I guess.

I like all the backstory we are getting lately. Those two nin with the whisker marks... Kushina didn't have them, neither did Shodai's wife... is it only a male thing? After we found out about all that stuff, I thought the reason why Naruto had them was because he was born while Kushina had the Kyubi sealed inside her.

Similar thing here? I was going to say that since their chakra feels like the Kyubi's, one will have the yang and one will have the yin chakra - or some concept like that.

Did you guys notice Tsunade's reaction to the possibility to Dan might have been resurrected? I hope Kishi explores this a bit more - Tsunade has always been an interesting character to me, and this might flesh her out some more.

Not liking those two new nin with the special chakra. To be honest, there are so many never-seen-before resurrected characters now, it's kind of getting hard tracking who's fighting who. I'd be more interested with the resurrected Jinchuuriki, and the fights they get up to.

Do you think that they'll still possess their special powers, or where they tied specifically to their Tailed Beasts (i.e. Ukakata with his Bubble Release, Roshi and his Lava Release, etc.)?

Perhaps the jinchuuriki fights are being saved for Bee and Naruto? Personally, I'm wondering if Kabuto will bring back Kushina. She's not sealed in an alternate dimension. All these Kages coming back makes me miss Sarutobi. :( Wonder if Konohamaru got Enma's contract.

I'm pretty pleased with the last few chapters. Probably telling that none of them had anything to do with Naruto or Sasuke. Need more Gai though. Curious that as far as we've seen none of the revivals have been taijutsu specialists of S-Rank.

These last few chapters have been above average and way above the level of the what we were getting. Im ready see some the Kage level people start fighting.

I have no problem with the lack of Sasuke, in fact Im happy with it. But I do wish we had more Naruto.

Wasn't Kushina's chakra used to create the four seasons seal on Naruto? To make the seal strong and to allow Kushina to do her reach-out-from-beyond-the-grave thing? I thought that meant that she was sealed away in some way too...

Looks like Oonoki is going to head out to join Gaara's group to fight the 2nd Tsuchikage. I too, am perfectly happy not seeing Sasuke and/or Naruto at the moment. I'm just hoping this excellent run of chapters doesn't get ruined by some crappy plotting. As things stand, there's some pretty awesome fights to look forward to.

It is going to be very interesting to see Gaara's reaction to his father...and also the ex-Kazekage's reaction to the son he tried to have assasinated - who is the current Kazekage.

Another good chapter. See, this is what the manga can be when Kishimoto isn't trying to create humor at the expense of the title character.

To be honest, out of all the people who we've yet to see fight, Mifune is the one I'm most interested in. Is that strange?

Also, good to see that the Third Raikage is A and B's father. Makes a lot of sense.

Kabuto had to collect all the genetic material of all his summons, correct? If that's the case I'm wondering what the hell happened to the concept of destroying the body so that its secrets couldn't be extracted. Plot holes >_<

I don't believe this has ever been confirmed in the manga, and in actuality this notion seems to go against the evidence provided.

Kabuto got his hands on Nagato before Madara? Really?

I thought I remembered something like that but it doesn't make a lick of sense so I must have brushed it off.

    Bad writing.
