I think Itachi will have the sharingan in Zombie-mode regardless of whether Sasuke took them from his dead body or not.

I've seen a lot of people equating Edo Tensei to classical-zombie-ressurection, i.e. reanimating the same body while controlling the soul. I got a completely different picture from that Edo-Tensei explanation Kabuto gave to Madara.

Here's my understanding of it : The person using the Edo-Tensei uses part (read DNA) of the person he wants to bring back and uses it for the ritual. But the ritual itself is done on a healthy recently killed body, which is whole. In essence the Zombie is formed fully capable. For example, If the Shodai was missing a foot when he died, it wouldn't matter when he was brought back. He'd be whole. Similarly, I extend this to Itachi's eyes.

So Yeah, I think Zombie-Itachi will probably have the Sharingan. And yes, You were right, Sasuke did take Itachi's eyes from Itachi's dead body.

I'm still not completely sure about the above though. Especially about Nagato still having the Rinnegan or not. Kishimoto tried to do the whole mysterious-shit with the rinnegan, so no telling what he might do now.

Also, Kakuzu still seemed to have the masks on his back in that one frame in the current chapter. Dunno how his whole 4/5(?) Hearts buisness works out now.

Yah your right about the masks, so Itachi probably does have his eyes.

I doubt the using the hearts to stay alive business works now. But he was able to use the different times of elemental ninjustu because of the different hearts. Wind users heart allows him to do wind justu, and a fire user's heart allows him to use fire justu.

Which begs the question, why would an anatomical part of the body such as the heart have anything to do with one's chakra nature.

Because chakra is a combination of the physical and spiritual aspects of the body. I'm sure you'd agree that the human heart is very much a part of the physical aspects of the body.

Honestly, it's the same logic that allows for bloodline limits to make sense.

Ok, that does make some sense. But that also means that there are five (five?) ways that human hearts are different from each other. I'm not sure Kishimoto wants to go there?

The heart, among other organs, is a source of physical chakra. We learned that way back in the chuunin exams.

Going by the example of Sasori, who was all heart and had a 5 in stamina. The heart has to play a massive role in chakra production.

I can't help but to imagine Sasori as the little South American kid from Captain Planet now

I just realized the only reason I even got into Naruto was because of the OST, loocked it over today and was blown away.

I like how we are getting so much history via all of these dead characters coming back to life, it gives me fodder for my fanfic that takes place in the afterlife.

Anyway while I do appreciate it for that, this seems a bit of a stalling tactic to divert us from the main storyline truly progressing. I understand Kabuto has always been on he verge of becoming a main villain but this seems excessive at this point, although that's just me when I think about it overall. I have liked the show casings and Kakashi completely snapping, that's a welcome sight.

    New chapter is up.

New treasure that does the samething as a prior one only easier. Bit of a let down.

Pretty disappointing chapter outside of an update with Naruto. Very cliched speech and everything.

Shit chapter was shit, and stupid sealing can was more stupid than the last one. Seriously, two jars that do the exact same thing but one does it easier than the other?:facepalm Good to see that Kishimoto can still turn semi interesting characters and weapons into shit in just one chapter.

Interesting technique from the Cloud chick. Can transport anything anywhere at the speed of light? Must be pretty handy during wars, all you have to do is send a bomb into the enemy village and you're done.

I'm getting tired of the "they're related to the Sage so they have X power" nonsense. Who the fuck isn't related to the Sage?

I'm becoming very disappointed in Kishimoto's creativity. Instead of seeing new but similar he's throwing a bunch of outrageous abilities into the mix that seem more for shock value than for depth and continuities sake.

I mean really, Madara gets all this hype for controlling the Kyuubi, Mito, Kushina, and Naruto for withstanding it being sealed in them, and Hashirama and Minato for sealing it up like bosses, but these two nobodies just ate it and can suddenly use its power without showing any of the drawbacks that an actual jinchuuriki has to overcome? Even the Sage didn't go around eating monsters to gain their powers.

Couldn't we just have two relatively strong brothers with a gimmicky sealing technique combo that has secret parameters that have to be discovered to be undone? Enough of this "legendary item" bullshit.

I don't think we ever did discover why Samui got sucked up in that first pot either, so why again is it inferior to the second one?

Kishimoto has been doing this shit forever, but it's easier to overlook when you can say "well, we don't know that Edo Tensei doesn't have a weakness" or "it was Itachi's ultimate move, why wouldn't it be able to stop Orochimaru with ease?"

Madara's space/time is looking really mild compared to some of the stuff we've seen recently.

    /sigh

At least Naruto may be starting to figure out that something is up.

...No, he just sealed a massive monster inside himself.

He skipped the chewing all together.

It's likely that her jutsu can be blocked by barriers or something similar, that Kishi neglected to mention. It's the logical explanation.

Btw does there exist any bombs that can finish an entire village in Naruto verse?

    Yes we did.

Still, I have to agree that the whole idea super-items with quirky rules isn't one of Kishi's better plot points. It seems like Kishimoto is trying way too hard to come up ways to make bit characters unique, to the point where unique is being replaced with stupid.

Right, which is what other characters have managed to do. With techniques.

So again I ask, why is the second gourd better? While the sealing style isn't as convoluted the target actually has to say something in order to be sealed.

The second gourd doesn't require the target to get hit by the rope.
