It was decent. We now know Tenten has huge chakra, that Naruto and B are headed to the fight, Madara's about to undo everything that Alliance just succeeded at, there's actual strategy, some humor plus we didn't have to waste time any more time on Team 10 versus Asuma.

Pity though. I wanted to see Kakuzu versus those two chunin and Dan unleash his ghost power shit. Methinks the editors clamped down on Kishi to get shit going on faster.

 

And its almost like Naruto outclasses everything trying by orders of magnitude. I'm saying its stupid that he's still fucking there.

 

Given Madara's stated goals, it makes sense for them to try to stop him. They are going to fail- though apparently that barrier would have stopped him if not for Bee's assistance- but not trying to stop him is, quite frankly, retarded. Madara getting to Naruto and Bee basically means Madara wins.

 

This. I wanted to see what Dan could do. Instead of showing us the awesome guys they left us with team Asuma. We didn't even see Nagato or Itachi. That sucks.
Though I have to say, things are finally getting serious. With Madara and the remaining Jinchuuriki out in the field, we should expect some serious plot progression soon.

 

Sure, if he goes full-power on who are ostensibly allied shinobi? He'd own them all. But he's trying to get out, not kill everyone in his path.

 

I'm not saying its stupid in world to keep him there, I'm saying its stupid for the manga to spend so long on him leaving the goddamn place.

 

And of course, if he did manage to break out in the space of one chapter, there'll be those that say that he got out too easy; that, given Madara's plans, they should've made more of an effort to stop him. </shrug> I agree with what Hash said in his post, Naruto's trying to get out, not kill them all. And despite them keeping (or trying to) him contained they are his comrades; he'd feel obligated to atleast listen to what they had to say, especially Iruka. It was handled fairly well overall, I think.

The Raikage's reaction to his brother playing hooky with the Alliance's plans should be funny. It'll also be interesting to see who Naruto goes to support first. Kakashi? Sakura? Gaara?

I thought 2-3 chapters was reasonable. Frankly, this isn't Bleach with Mr. "wtfpwnlolol I Haz skilz i didn't in the previous frame and Imma get some moar next frame" Ichigo.

Seriously, While Bleach is all about looking cool with the whole reverse view/side frames with cool clothes, Naruto(Kishi) has been all about the emo moments. i.e. "Overflowing with courage..", "Heart soaring with Joy...", "His existance proven to be..." moments.

I've gotten used to it at this point of time, I fully expect it and I really don't mind them.

So, in other words chapter was cool and I called it first, Bee wanted to join Naruto in the fight outside.

My prediction, Naruto is gonnna go fight the Jinchuriki. Just a wild guess.

 

It doesn't make sense for Itachi and Nagato to be fighting just yet. They are trump cards for when the kages, Naruto, Bee, or someone like Kakashi. Granted it would take both of them to take on Naruto at this point.

 

I was actually surprised that Madara took the field so quickly, especially given how many are left in Kabuto's lineup. Anyone else think that throwing characters like Nagato and Itachi into the mix might actually hinder Madara here?

Who knows more about Madara's powers than those two? Nagato may at least be able to explain how to defeat the Gedou Mazou when he crosses Naruto on the battlefield.

 

I think it's good that Madara focused straight away, as he thinks like a "ninja" so going about sending minion after minion after Naruto would be pretty stupid when he can do it himself the quickest way. And I suppose waiting that long for all the tailed beasts to be in his grasp would make anybody impatient.

On another note, Tenten having enough chakra to be able to use the fan was a bit of a letdown as it made it look like when they were first introduced that only a pseudo-host or a host could've used them. Or atleast someone with very, very large reserves.

 

The page with Tenten out cold was actually a pretty good way of establishing that no, she can't use the fan. She swung it what, once?

 

Before someone asks, Jump is on break this week, so no Naruto coming out (or Bleach/One Piece, for that matter).

Well, a big part of his plan can be summed by "Gotta Catch 'Em All" phrase, so maybe it's childhood dream of Madara to become Pokemon Master.

As for the new chapter. Seems to me that Madara is planning to go with imperfect 10 tailed beast or something. Also, both sides lost about 50% of their troops? Clones doesn't matter, but that's quite a massacre in the Joint Shinobi Forces. And they still want to keep Killer Bee and Naruto from entering this conflict? It's like they're waiting till all weaker warriors die, before the top ninjas settle this war between themselves anyway. But who cares about 40k of killed troops - it's just statistic.

 

I'm suprised.

The war seems like it's going to be less chapters than I thought it would be. I honestly thought it would take about two hundred chapters or more for the whole war, but it seems like about fifty-sixty. Especially since the nights rest will probably be Bee / Naruto vs Tsunade / Raikage and then the Sasuke/Naruto fight, and then the "final battle" =)

 

Maybe, but I'm rather sure that we will see the second round of fights with dead people. Shame we didn't see Kakashi being a bad-ass, as it seems his fight ended already.

 

50% of the allied forces died. I kept skimming over most of the not-Naruto scenes so correct me if I'm wrong:

Nobody from the main Konoha characters died? 40.000 people supposedly kicked the bucket, but this handful of Chuunin didn't?

 

What did you expect? There's no kunai in existence that can pierce plot armor.
