Personally, I'm just glad that the fight is over, I just want the story to focus on Naruto again.

Also, I hate Itachi even more than I hate Sasuke, so the overall result isn't that bad either.

 

That was an absolutely crap fight, one of the, if not the, worst in the whole manga. Focus on Naruto and the story might actually get good again. For the love of god, focus on Naruto, not Sasuke!

It's like calling a book Harry Potter, but the focus is Malfoy. Yuck.

Don't count on it, man. Kishimoto outright said that the rest of this year is going to focus on Sasuke, and then Sakura and Kakashi. Naruto will remain in the background, because we wouldn't want to actually have the main character be important to the plot or anything.

 

That was the worst fight I've ever seen, what a load of shite, see if he had taken the fuckers eyes, I would have been happy.

Well that sucked... but I don't think it's over yet.

 

Problem with the fight imo is that it had nothing you would expect from a genius vs genius battle like we saw with Kakashi vs Zabuza or Shikamaru vs anyone. Instead it was huge chakra consuming jutsu after another and one or two illusions.

This has been set up from the start of the manga, the very beginning, and its just been a major let down.!

You'd expect them to be pulling out new jutsu out their asses, but no, illusion fights, two uber powerfull moves later, and its pretty much over.

God, this was fucked up. One of the very first uber power-ups the Sharingan got was that it could see through illusions. So you get two sets of the eyes together and what do you get? An illusion fight.

Then after that they showed off their uber ninja-ness by throwing around ultimate-omega-God jutsu's everywhere completely forgeting they had chakra limits. Honestly is that not the first thing they would teach you in the Ninja Academy? That you don't have infinite chakra so remember your limits?

Then at the end Sasuke came to the sudden realisation that he could lose and reverted back to ninja basics (throw sharp objects at target). Altogether a couple wasted hours of reading and a couple wasted years of anticipation.

 

Dammit.....

Meh, I'm guessing Orochimaru will try to take over Itachi now that he's down... the forehead flick was funny, and yes, a nice touch...
However, this whole fight is rather disappointing.

nope. for this year 2008, Kishi said he's gonna focus on Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi.

Now that Sasuke has finally accomplished his goal, he'll move on to Sakura. He said that she needs to grow up which means he's gonna kill Tsunade somehow. Then after Sakura's grown up, and Tsunade's gone, it will be Kakashi's turn to shine, since he's the only candidate for the Rokudaime Hokage position. Within this base plan for the year, Lee's gonna grow up (we know what that means) and Naruto's gonna be doing cameos.
