Nagato got through, NAGATO!!! There is Naruto, Nagato, and a hell of a drop off to the next guy.

Nagato got through because of how he fought and his very unique abilities. Nagato is a seven man army with the most powerful eyes in existence. Saying Deidara can get through because Nagato got through is like saying a boy scout can sneak through a fence because a navy seal can. This isn't a any thing you can do I can do too thing. This is a guy with the fucking rinnengan who controlled six puppets each with their own special abilities working as a team. One of which could block any attack and another which could revive any of the others if an attack got through.

 

To be fair, Deidara did get into the center of Suna and could have destroyed it if it wasn't for Gaara.

 

They had help from one of Sasoris men in Suna.

 

You know the great thing about having two sacrifices? You can have one stay in the villiage and wipe out anything that gets close, and then have another take missions and be an ass kicking ninja. The best of both worlds...so it is entirely possible that having Bee stand back from the fighting is a good idea because they already had Yii there to be their demon/super ninja. Though in hindsight, what with Hidan and Kazaku beating the shit out of her, I would have kept the ninja that can use superpowered balls of death doing missions.

Also if Naruto ever pulled his head out of his ass, he could totally own a village. Wind powered ball of death plus sage mode equals nothing touching him. Add in shadow clones to cover his ass in case shit hits the fan, and it is entirely possible for Naruto to overrun a village even before he gained complete control over all the nine tails chakra. Though this plan would probably fail if you have another sacrifice there spaming demon powered chakra balls, because unless Naruto could shrug them off in sage mode they would totally fuck him up.

 

To be fair to Yugito, the second Hidan got her blood she was done for. Many ninja would get taken out in the same way without prior knowledge as well, so it shouldn't be used against her as much as it is. Although....Kakuzu apparently took a full frontal attack from the Nibi and survived so...

 

Of course, given that Kakuzu's whole thing is that you have to kill him five times to finish him off, I suppose it is possible that he lost one or more of his extra lives in the process.

 

OR, they needed a sacrificial lamb to show how awesome/hax these newly introduced Akatsuki were.
However, what with the Akatsuki's fall from grace and the new shine Jinchuuriki get, I'd bet this fight would go to a completely different direction had it occurred now.

Chapter was mostly standard talk-no-jutsu, but final page had a nice stinger to end things on.

 

I wonder if this chapter is foreshadowing Naruto's using the Hiraishin without the kunai.

 

You can't use Hiraishin without a kunai or seal. That's how the jutsu works.

In this case they're comparing Naruto's shunshin speed to Minato's which we see him use to grab Naruto from Uchiha I-have-a-Sharingan-and-am-godly Madara with ease.

I still love Madara's personality. Makes me crack up and I don't know why. Six paths of jinchuuriki pain should kick some ass, but I was more looking forward to the jinchuuriki being a little bit developed. Oh well.

 

With the way the war's going we'll get all the exposition on the Jinchuuriki we could ever want.. no signs of control rods though. I wonder how much control Madara will really have..

 

I'm thinking the one sharingan eye, maybe serves as the control rod or somethin. \()/

Also, I wanted to punch someone when Naruto said he had two suns as his mom and dad. -________-

And Minato continues to be The Gary Stu of Naruto. I dun like him. >_>

The talk jutsu was expected, although I wish the Raikage did actually want to kill him instead of testing him, just so we see what Naruto would do when faced with someone who dosen't need a therapy session to convince them.

The yellow flash thing was a little expected, although I thought the Hiraishin teleported people, and didn't make a flash, so the whole yellow flash moniker comparing him to Minato makes no sense to me.

I was kind of hoping when the Child of Prophecy was mentioned again to actually bring up the fact that it was Nagato and Naruto- although it looks like they glossed over that because it happened more than ten chapters ago.

The last page had a heck of a twist.

WIth all this talk of White Zetsu's, I'm curious about the Black ones...

 

Raikage attacked with intent to kill. The fact that Naruto survived means he passed the test. Raikage was not holding back in any way, shape, or form.

Already asked and answered. Minato probably earned the title "Yellow Flash" from his shunshin speed which was prodigious, not the Hiraishin.

There's only one black Zetsu, and supposedly he's still on the trail of the daimyo.
