Er... I'm quite fine with the whole Toby persona being over and done with, thank you very much. There's enough poor humor in this manga as is.

Also, I might be the only one, but I grinned stupidly when I saw the two little fox arms holding the baby rasenshuriken. It looked too fucking ridiculous.

 

I give us maybe two chapters of impressive Naruto kicking ass at the very most before someone smacks him down in traditional Kishi style. My bet is on one of the jinchuuriki paths of pain being the one to do it and at the same time impart some advice on friendship with the kyuubi before a dues ex occurs to save Naruto.

God I hope I'm wrong.

 

That shit was funny, the little Kyuubi arms on his fingers. And I think Kishi definitely lurks here... he read those countless pages of bitching about Naruto only using Rasengan and then made up a bunch of Kyuubi-mode tech's that are just suped-up Rasengans to spite us.

Lulz.

 

Either Naruto is that fucking impressive (dare to dream) or the Fourth decided that the rasengan didn't need changing anyway, because hot damn. Naruto's pulled a good dozen or so variations out of his ass, going so far as to throw the damn things.

Come on now Kishi. I thought rasenshuriken was supposed to be special. The complete rasengan is a lie.

 

He didn't throw the Rasengans. There were several 'Kyuubi-arms' using the Rasengans. It can be called as a ...ahem...detailed application of what Bee taught him. The kyuubi's chakra is just like his actual arm and can hold a Rasengan. The mini arms were there I think for the same reason. including Naruto's finger they become the 3 part manipulation that his Kage Bunshin used to do. The onlynew thing, relatively, was the Vacuum.

When did bad fanficition ever go away Republic. I really wish Naruto would start working on his second elemental affinity or learning some wind jutsu, kyuubi powers are great and all just a bit boring after a while. Although mini rasengans were :awesome

 

I was more referring to his throwing the rasenshruiken in the battle against Pein. That... did happen, right? I'm not really as up to date as I'd like to be in the manga, and I'd hate to accidentally quote the anime in its place.

New chapter is up. Great to see some actual fighting getting done, and some pretty funny work at the start. The first couple pages had me pretty worried, but BAM. Classic bait and switch. Looks like Kishi has finally started getting to the action.

The old Kages are crazily boss, and that is one fight I am itching to see.

All in all, good update, fun to read and finally got some movement into the story.

 

I'm guessing Gaara's father is going to have a case of talk-no-jutsu... I was honestly hoping to keep Gaara's father as a sort of ruthless Kage looking out for the good of the village more than anything, but it looks like we might get background stuff to change that...

 

Or Gaara just flat out kills him which would be :awesome
But knowing Kishi yeah there will be another talk with him referencing Naruto
