It seems there was no talk no jutsu but one of those "two sides to every story" thing for the Gaara storyline in part one... although the bit about his mother at the end has me worried about something stupid in the next chapter.

 

Omfg... TALK NO JUTSU, FAMILY ISSUES NO JUTSU, EMO NO JUTSU, AND PASS THE TORCH TO THE NEXT GENERATION NO JUTSU!!!!!!!!!! Ugh this chapter was so sweet it rotted my teeth.

Chapter was what I expected. Kages are supposed to love their village, of course it's going to be sappy pass-the-buck to the next guy fighting, like most of the fights dealing with this Jutsu.

Just wait until Naruto has to fight his parents...

 

Hmmm...Naruto can't fight his parents. IIRC, since they were sealed away and didn't just die normal deaths, the Edo Tensei cannot summon them. I'm glad for that.

Looks like Gaara inherited most of his techniques from his father, just that his father used gold and Gaara uses sand. And also looks like the 4th Kazekage is out of the fight already, unless Kabuto forces him into battle. Heh, talk-no-jutsu and pass-the-torch-to-the-next-generation-no-jutsu (I like this one) ftw!

Though calling Oonoki the next generation is kinda ridiculous...

 

I agree about Minato, since he performed Dead Demon Consuming Seal on the Nine-Tails, but I'm not sure about Kushina.

I actually like that. Old age shouldn't stop him from being the part of the next generation. I'm against this kind of discrimination.

So Gaara got seriously mindfucked by his dad for no apparent reason. Suna really is fail at jinchuurikis. Don't you know you're supposed to be nice to the monster-people?

Naruto's parents CAN be summoned. Go watch/read the Sandaime's fight with Orochimaru. The Yondaime's summoning was stopped by the Sandaime, otherwise he'd have been fighting another Hokage.

Edo Tensei apparently can even draw from the Death God's stomach.

 

If I remember correctly, Kishi was not happy that the anime had stated that the third coffin contained Minato. It was never said in the manga, who was in that coffin.

 

Hrm, you're right about the manga. I was unaware of his displeasure with the anime's change to it.

I'm still of the opinion that they can and will be summoned now (the last bit of Naruto's parents' souls no longer remain in the seal) but I guess it's all conjecture now. My bad on the info there, then.

Probably a retcon to explain the differences between the manga and anime.

 

Kabuto stated he couldn't summon people who used the Shinigami Seal, otherwise he would of brought the Sandaime troll the 5 kage.

 

It's a plothole. Kabuto couldn't summon the previous Hokages because of Shiki Fuuin, correct me if I'm wrong.

He was alive and well when they kicked this off, so perhaps Kabuto hadn't thought to collect his DNA? I'm not even sure when he'd have had the opportunity.
