Well, I think most people gave up on a satisfying conclusion of the Naruto series, what with all the crap that has happened in part 2.

I just hope it gets finished fairly soon and won't drag on for another ten years like Bleach plans to do.

 

It is supposedly a 3 part series, so expect a few more years.

 

3 part series?
On one hand, we might get to see Naruto older, and thus more awesome.

On the other hand, in the rate the manga is getting more and more ridiculous, we can expect horrible and disastrous things to come from it.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it'll be cool. Probably not.

But whichever the case, fuck.

Also: With the rate the fight scales get more and more huge, we should expect planets and moons to be tossed around at the end of part 3.

 

Part 3? With the ultimate power-ups that Naruto and everybody else gets right now, I have a trouble thinking of the next level of this story. But Kishi loves DB, so I guess the answer is - aliens, traveling to other planets and space gods.

 

Of course. The Jyuubi will turn out to be one of many such chakra monsters, who landed on the ancient shinobi world by chance, and Naruto will have to go out and tame the others and bring peace to their chaotic planet(s) as well ala Sage of the Six Paths.

Well, I hated it.

 

Pointless fashbacks were, well, pointless. On the other hand I liked smart Naruto who can think in the battle.

 

That was... quite shit.

Didn't see this. In all likelihood Kishi already had permission to take this from Toriyama as Naruto and Dragonball are/were both published in the same magazine.

 

That might have been the single most disappointing chapter I've read in a long time. Flashbacks sucked, as always, and the continued humanization of the Kyuubi still makes me irrationally angry.

Better luck next week I guess.

 

I admit being disappointed too. I think I just had my expectations high, since there was a big break between this chapter and the last, and this was the first chapter of the year. I thought maybe there would be something special. A mistake I suppose.

I don't mind Kyuubi being intelligent too much, so long as its not taken too far. By that I mean that him being 3-dimensional and intelligent rather than just mindless evil. But at the same time I don't want him to be too human either, since he is not one. Why cannot we have a complex Kyuubi with complex motives, that is still an alien being. It would have been easy enough to have Kyuubi and Naruto work together thanks to their combined hatred of Madara and Kyuubi not wanting to die by merging with the other bijuu into Juubi.

 

I'm thinking this humanization is because the Kyuubi's munching on Naruto's hate-free chakra rather than it being natural. Naruto said something which implies that when they spoke before (around the time Madara appeared I think). Hachibi said so himself that he used too be wild and violent and we know Kirabi went through the anti-hate training.
