Well, can't say I didn't expect another hax jutsu to pair with Izanagi, since you know - mythology. Wonder what exactly it will do.

 

Not surprised about Izanami, people were guessing about Izanagi and Izanami as far back as when Itachi first used Susanno so while I may not be pleased, it's more of a meh. I dind't enjoy Itachi talking about destiny though, it was bad enough with a prophecy but the sharingan can change it now? Pre-timeskip Neji must be pissed.

 

Out of curiosity, does anyone think that there's a Mangekyou level to the Byakugan? With the now-forgotten claim that the Sharingan descended from the Byakugan, it's almost make sense. Someone wrote a fic with Neji unlocking it, and although I can't remember what it did, it fascinated me.

 

Nope, because nobody important has the Byakugan.

 

I suppose it's some kinda reality alter and mind control against the enemy. You know, able to make them do anything, which is... the perfect counter to Edo Tensei in this situation! What a surprise.

Props to Kabutops for trying to fast-talk Sasuke, though. It obviously won't work, but it was a good try.

That's just a fanon thing. Like said, nobody important has Byakugan. Canon raped the fanon theory that Sharingan is derived from Byakugan, or something. Only Rinnegan, Sharingan and Mokuton matter. The rest of the bloodline limits can go suck cock. That's canon for ya.

 

It wasn't a fanon theory. It was rumoured in-universe that the Sharingan was derived from the Byakugan (Kakashi mentioned it).

At this point, it's more likely that opposite occured and that the Hyuuga are descended from the Uchiha (or at least the elder sage brother) and share a relationship similar to the Senju and the Uzumaki. That is just a theory though.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Mangekyou-type evolution for the Byakugan but I don't think that it will ever be canon. Poor, unimportant Hyuuga.

I am getting tired of all these absurd Sharingan Techniques. Izanagi was so ridiculous that I have no doubt Izanami will be just as overpowered :/

 

Kabuto is stupid, Sasuke is crazy, Itachi is boss, Sharingan is hax.

All the needless, already said stuff out of the way, I"m actually kinda looking forward to this fight. As ridiculous as Izanami will undoubtedly prove to be, the sheer ingenuity of it will probably be pretty cool. Be interesting to see how it gets used IMO.

That said, I'm already tired of the Uchihas. I want me some more Naruto.

To me it looks like Itachi is about to redeem Sasuke, which is a huge cop-out on Kishimoto's part. Bring back the guy who mindfucked him just to make it all right again? Bullshit.

Though it's probably preferable to Naruto somehow redeeming him through brofist and hugs and bonds and shit.

 

Have to agree there; ever since the reveal that Tobi isn't Madara, I've been pretty curious to find out what the heck his deal is.

 

Actually I find it quite fitting.

I know that no matter what I say, you'll disagree, so I'm not going to bother writing up an essay about it, but I think Itachi was the only one who ever could steer Sasuke back onto the right path. Considering that he knocked him off of it in the first place.

 

Except that this seems too damn easy. Like Kishimoto brought him back for just that reason. It's not impressive writing.

 

I think I would honestly prefer that he not be redeemed and just be put down like the rabid dog he's become. But that clearly isn't going to happen, so whatever.
