Well it's implied (if i'm not mistaken) Madara survived after his battle with Hashirama so perhaps Tobi is his son?

 

It's pretty much confirmed that Madara survived that battle. I like to think that Tobi has been mentioned in the series already though. I like the idea of Inuza's eyes finally returning to him decades later as well.

 

I suspect Tobi's real identity has had some mention in the series, just for the added shock value when he's finally revealed. Would be kind of anticlimatic if Tobi turned out to be someone we'd never heard of before.

 

I quite liked idea in one fic that To(u) in Tobi is just another pronunciation of juu (ten) and so, under certain conditions you could read his name as Juubi (Ten Tails). He was remnant of Juubi´s sentience that formed itself after Rikudou Sennin divided chakra of Juubi into Tailed Beasts.

I have no idea if it is indeed correct in Japanese language and I do not seriously believe it is the truth but it is interesting at least.

 

Best chapter for a while. Seems to imply that something is going to happen, which is nice. I'm guessing Tobi is about to summon a weakened Ten Tails, which will be interesting. Sasuke seems to be starting his loyalty-switch back to Konoha too, which I'm keen to see (even if its only for how Kishimoto handles it).


Until Sasuke mentioned Orochimaru I thought he was going to go after Madara and for the first time in a while I was rooting for Sasuke which I thought strange.


And as always, its nice to see Naruto again. He had a nice cameo. I felt Gai really stole that scene though with his "Little Finger Attack" :awesome You gotta love Gai.

 

Orochimaru ... alive? That's interesting I suppose. Depends on how it goes. Do we kno what was in that scroll Suigetsu gave Sasuke?

Seems like Tobi activated his technique, but with only a tiny sliver of Eight and Nine Tail's chakra.

I'm wondering whether it'd be possible for Sasuke to summon him with the Edo Tensei. Would the Totsuka's dream world be considered a part of the pure world?

 

i don´t think there has ever been a clear explanation of the power levels of the bijuu other than the vague tails = power thing and even that´s kind of doubtful in my own mind.

the chakra level thing as well: so many fanfics use this sort of chakra currency equation: one tail worth or chakra etc. but i don´t think it´s really just a matter of amounts. i rather think that chakra has character of sorts, like madara´s being dark or whatever it was exactly.

so in my mind you need the different chakras of the bijuu to create the juubi, not just simply over 9000 curicks...

i have always wondered about that though, what are the physics of the eternal MS? do you replace your own eyes and the new ones just realize they came from your brother? or do the just somehow fuse? i have no idea...

 

Given other inspirations that Kishi took from Dragon Ball, I say they fuse.

 

Which also explains why no brother-Uchiha ever said "Wana swap bro?"

 

I'm not really happy that Orochimaru is being kept relevant at this point. "The man that knows everything?" I imagine that would be Tobi or Madara. Orochimaru has sort of been shown to be a small fish in the Naruto world, despite all the shenanigans he pulled.

Now that Madara seems to be on his way to Naruto, I have to wonder if it will end up being Tobi who takes him out. Although, the most recent chapter sort of implies that Sasuke is going to make Orochimaru show him how to stop Madara's ET.

 

A Madara who continues to troll the 5 Kages, saying that it would be bad form to use the same ultimate technique twice.

 

Say what you want, the guy has class.

 

Also, it seems that when Edo is controlling itself it stops to look like zombie.
