Well, I'm gonna go against the grain and say I've really been enjoying the recent chapters. I like spirally Zetsu.

 

As far as a Tobito origin its not bad, although if what happens next is something other than a Madara mindfuck then I think that'll be the point of no return.

 

New chap up at mangahere. Now Tobito's motives are starting to make a bit more sense. Would have liked some foreshadowing in the early chapters, though.

 

At least we finally get to see part of what actually happened to Rin. She still doesn't have a family name yet though...

 

Well Kishimoto sure delivered this week.....can't wait for the next issue, things are really starting to come together now.

 

Hate to admit but that last page...really captured my interest again. Still hate the whole Obito/Madara/Zetsu fuckery but damn, that page. Guess that explains the MS.

 

Have to agree; if nothing else, it makes me very curious to see where Kishimoto's going with this. Compared to the relatively underwhelming Tobito reveal, this is an interesting plot twist. Let's just hope the explanation is good.

 

Wow now that was an interesting twist. But I think it is making way for Tobi's redemption. He will probably pull a Pain in the end when he gets Kakashi's sob story about how that came to be.

 

This came off as really contrived to me. There are a million explanations as to why Kakashi killed Rin without 'because he's a dick' being one of them, but of course Obito walked right onto this scene.

Meh.

I'm wondering if Obito is helping Madara because he wants to be genjutsu'd into la-la land and forget all this shit.

 

Clearly this is the case.

 

And at least now we know where his Mangekyo comes from. He saw himself killing his most 'precious person'. Even if it was Kakashi.

 

To be fair, I do think Obito said "you let Rin die" as opposed to "you killed her because you're a dick" and very few people would say "oh, you had a good reason for killing the love of my life? Okay then, we cool!"

I mean, we all know that they will probably talk this out and get some crappy redemption but still, it's a more interesting "twist" than I expected from Kishi at this point. Kind of surprised Kabuto, after knowing so much, didn't summon Rin as well, just to fuck with Obito. He got all the other DNA, so, if we rolled with the previous Edo's we would roll with this too. Guess it would have ruined the surprise though.

 

These people are supposed to be Ninjas. Stuff happens in their line of work and I like to pretend that the characters understand that.

 

Well anyone who said Kakashi didn't have a reason to be emotionally unattached to things before....

 

Well, Obito is one of those guys who rejected the "mission before anything else" kind of ninja. He is/was rather emotional, so, while it still is a shitty excuse for everything, it still is kind of an explanation.

Obito doesn't stuck to me as the kind of guy who would find any reason for killing a friend, especially Rin, acceptable.

 

This has become as bad as any fanfiction by now.

When Tobi was revealed to be Obito I thought: fine, who cares? lazy writing but maybe he has an idea or an angle planned for this we haven´t thought of or considered before.

But now... There is a difference between lazy writing and just taking the piss. I don´t even care anymore. Rin was secretly Kakashi´s daughter travelling back in time and he had to kill her to avoid paradox. In fact, I´d rather prefer if it all turned out to be part of Aizen´s masterplan in a massive dickfest crossover.

I just want to know how it will end now. I will not get angry over any more plot- leaks now.

If I do, feel free to quote this, but meh, why bother...

 

People whinging about Naruto in this thread make me laugh at how pathetic some people can get over a comic.

It's a story, enjoy it for what it is.
