That would be utterly disappointing. When I read it I figured Hashirama could do it because Madara was using HIS senjutsu chakra, and because he gave Sasuke the rest of HIS chakra. For there to be a random easily learned technique that Sasuke could use to just cancel all SM, is I hope, too idiotic even for Kishi.

I did not entirely understand what happened at the end with Sasuke? How did Madara stop Sasukes attack? Did he use Deva Path to pull Sasukes sword, and then basically stop gravity so Sasuke was stuck floating midair?

Ofcourse its prettty obvious that Sasuke won't die. Even Karin did not die from an injury like this, and Sasuke just got superboosted by Hashiramas chakra, which is known to give regeneration.

Madara is my favorite character. I'd say that this chapter sealed it but I'm hopefully waiting for confirmed kills.

Something about the characters going on about the power of Friendship and Talk-No-Jutsu and just getting a 'lolz no' is so goddamn satisfying. I honestly doubt it, but I would love it if Madara wins. I am tired of the bullshit.

Getting a bit tired of the 'Enemy seems unbeatable' phase. Since it's only purpose is to make the ending that much more grand and impactful.

Translation on Mangastream is up. Its a better one I feel. If you follow that translation, then its pretty clear Hashirama gave Sasuke a jutsu that can control Madara's/Hashirama's Senjutsu chakra only. Not every Senjutsu users chakra.

That's too stupid a way for Sasuke to die seeing as he has Susanoo and could have easily stopped a sword.

I'm guessing Sasuke let himself get stabbed so that'd he have an opening to use the Jutsu Hashirama gave him.

One thing that's bothering me here is the fact that Sasuke seems to have a bird summon with him. Is there canon info that says you can have multiple contracts with different animals?

Nagato can summons all kinds of different animals. And Sasuke first summoned the hawk back during the Danzo fight, though it wasn't until this war that we learned that he could still summon snakes.

Tbh, we've never actually had reason to think that you couldn't. I don't think anyone even implied that it wasn't possible, we just never saw anyone summon two different species until Nagato.

 

I always took it as being possible to summon any number of different creatures, but with the corollary that getting summoning contracts is hard enough that a single person getting multiple just doesn't happen very often (or at all, prior to Sasuke and Nagato.)

 

They have never really gone into deep discussion of jutsus except for the fact that you need chakra. It would be interesting to know what would happen if you did not have a contract. Would you get nothing but a waste of chakra or would you be bulled into a summons realm.

 

I don't think there is a summons realm. They live in the same world.

 

Mm. Nothing in canon states you can't have several contracts.

No, that was anime-only (as is the idea). It's implied that he stumbled across the secret path to Mt. Myoboku whilst traveling and found the toads. The only other way to get is to be reverse-summoned by a toad which would need a contract (or fly there, I suppose).
