Great chapter this! and a delicious carrot dangled out for the Naruto fans who have been loosing faith. Those jinchuuriki who control their beasts are able to rid themselves of even the Sharingan genjutsu. Though I'm still not sure if this is all true or some elaborate illusion.

 

Wonder if that would cover Tsukyomi too, since it is technically a genjutsu, though that genjutsu Sasuke used did seem kinda similar to it...

Otherwise that chapter was epic-as-fuck!

 

I want to be optimistic, but I can't shake the feeling that this is just an excuse for a huge Sasuke power boost.

 

I'm just waiting for Amaterasu to show up again, that was my favourite part of Itachi's Mangekyou and I don't expect Kishimoto to deviate away from those techniques.

 

Maybe not all Mangekyö Sharingan develop the same abilities. Itachi's Mangekyö had Amaterasu, Susanoo and Tsukoyomi, but Kakashi seemed unable to do them in favor of the dimension-shifting ability of his sharingan.

Sasuke has Amaterasu, but not because he's got it in his Sharingan, but because Itachi implemented it into him, and is only triggered by the sight of Madara. He probably has other Sharingan jutsus.

On a curious note, aside from getting the Sage training, will Naruto master the Wind control, or the Rasenshuriken anytime soon? If I remember correctly, Yamato said it only was at 50%...

 

Maybe Sage training is the missing key to complete the Rasenshuriken. He's learn how to use pure nature's chakra to basically enhance his physical and spiritual abilities. Move faster, hit harder, greater chakra capacity and better techniques. But ultimately, greater chakra control. It's harder trying to balance 3 different energies than 2. So as Naruto get closer to mastering sage chakra, i can easily see his control of ninja chakra shooting up. Maybe not to Tsunade or Sakura's level, but just enough to control the jutsu.

As for Wind control, i wonder what effect Sage chakra will have on it. Since it's actually using nature's energy, he might be genuinely able to control the Wind instead of molding your chakra to imitate the element.

 

Hold on a tic, I just realised something. Sasuke used natural energy to power his Kirin jutsu, according to the description this is basically what sage chakra is... So did Sasuke use sage chakra or not?

 

Not really. Sasuke got a natural result out of his ninja chakra. Remember, the storm was caused by Sasuke's fire dragon.

I'm seeing a trend here.
If Naruto fails in controlling his sage chakra, he turns into a frog.
Jiraya had frog-characteristics in his fight with Pein.
Orochimaru had snake ... ok, he was a snake in his last beatdown by Sasuke.
Kisame is a shark ... could it be that is his version of sage chakra technique? Hmmm.

 

Kisame was described as having massive chakra reserves...

And since he isn't a jinchuuriki... It could very well be possible.

 

Maybe he has some kind of minor demon sealed inside him?
There must be more than just the Bijuu...

But for nature chakra...Zetsu tops everyone,
he/it took it far to literal with it.

 

Could Yamato control Zetsu? I mean he has power over plants and such right? And the Kisame/Sage thing, It seems likely, but the massive chakra could be from his sword, you know the one that eats chakra >_>. And his shark like appearance could just be a bloodline.

 

Does anyone know if the chakra eaten by the sword goes to Kisame? If it does, I might have a reason.

Please assume the following two things might be true:

1. The chakra taken by Kisame's sword goes into Kisame's body.

2. The sword can eat nature chakra.

I think that if those two things are true, then that might explain Kisame's appearance. His appearance was warped by the nature chakra taken from the sword. This is all in theory, so I might be completely off the mark.

 

Could be, but then how could you explain Suigetsu? He doesn't have a chakra absorbing sword to give him the sage chakra, so either he knows how to use it anyhow or he just has a fucked up bloodline where he looks like a fish.

Side thought: Could Kishimoto be a furry? Or a scaley? Or a whatever it is they call themselves?

 

I doubt it. Think about it.

Jiraya = Dead.

Kisame = Will be dead.

Zetsu? = Will be dead.

Suigetsu = Probably will die, but he still doesn't look like an animal.

He kills off his animal-like characters. And pretty much every manga has freaky-looking characters.

 

This is quite an interesting topic. Someone said that Naruto has to control all three different unique types of chakra then just two....and to master all that you gotta have some amazing chakra control.

The only reason i see Jiraya with those frog like characteristics is because he hasn't fully mastered them correctly as said by the Grand Pa toad. No one has. And it's Naruto that will be the key to controlling the full power without any mistakes and take it to the next level like he did with the famous rasangan. Someone said this really far back in this thread and i completely agree.

Naruto is gonna have a way better control then even Sakura if...when he masters his sage training. And as for sasuke....he's fucked. lol

 

I don't really get why people think he'll have fantastic control when he finished Sage training.

I mean, it never described Jirayia as having superb control. At least, not that I can recall...
