Kalas, in the manga kankuro faced Sasori alone, do you mean what is on chapter 251 page 8? It is kinda hard to follow exactly what happened there. I mean bang and swish? Is it an explosive or his tail that did whatever to that puppet arm?

Still not a very common tool among other ninjas, whether its because they are not very effective or simply because Konoha ninja likes the fiery element of an explosion so they use it more. Probably more of the former since we mostly see it from genin, kind of like the regular bunshin.

 

I think it's because the only situations in which it's really effective are ambushes, and when you're facing a crazed jinchuuriki that covers itself in sand... That said, we haven't seen many situations with from ninjas that lend themselves to using explosive tags.

Either that or it could simply be a case of higher ranked ninja being highly unlikely to fall for such traps, so not many other highly ranked ninja use them.

 

Didn't Yashamaru use explosive tags in his attempt to kill Gaara? I seem to remember seeing a bunch of them tacked to his chest.

Explosive tags a primarily meant to be used as traps, as seen by one of the filler episodes where some rogue nin wired the entire Konoha Village with them.

Necrule I meant when Sasori collapsed the main entrance to Hidden Sand (pathway between the two cliffs).

 

Kalas is correct, Sasori used Explosive tags.

 

Except I have combed over that part of the manga many times and I don't see anything that shows that the passageway even collapsed. In fact it shows Kankuro walking through it with all of the ninja killed by Sasori's spy as they were from before and Kankuro facing Sasori out in the open quite a distance away from the entrance.

The anime probably did that battle a little bit differently but I specifically asked about instances in the manga. So the filler arcs wouldn't count either.

I think this just about confirms my suspicions that Naruto will be able to use the Rasenshuriken without damaging himself when he is in sage mode.

The Pein-Naruto fight is finally on the horizon. Is it wrong to hope it will be epic?

 

WTF? It's going to be Team 7 vs. Hebi, Tsunade (maybe Kabumaru) vs Pein. Naruto vs Pein's still a good 25 miles off the horizon.

Also, just found this out, but their making a new manga faithful FMA.

 

Team 7 vs. falcon is going to be after Pein. Remember Pein left for Konoha before the 8 tails fight even started, he has quite a head start on Sasuke and CO, a day at least and he is there right now.

As far as Tsunade vs. Pein, who knows how long that will last, if it even happens that's all speculation on our part That still puts Naruto vs. Pein not that far off in the manga.

 

Even if Naruto or Tsunade kills every single on of those bodies it won't matter. If the real Pain isn't with them then he's still alive and will simply get 6 new bodies. We saw he is capable of that when he replaced the body he lost to Jiraiya with a new one. I bet there will be an entire arc dedicated to searching for and destroying the real Pain.

 

Probably. To be honest, I have a sneaking suspicion that the real Pain is actually older than even Madara.

But, I find it hard to believe that someone with the most powerful doujutsu is actually subservient to a dude who apparently only has one eye and does next to nothing by himself. So take that suspicion with a grain of salt, Madara has the Sharingan after all.

 

That's an interesting idea Necrule. Think about how hard it would be to independently control 6 seperate bodies, perhaps the Rin'negan (??) is a communial of souls type thing, each user living inside the next, able to share information each one controlling a seperate body? Naruto vs the Original Ninja Sage?

 

I get the feeling that the Rin'negan has some kind of power that allows the previous users abilities to pass on. So, in essence, I think that Pain is all of the previous holders, including the Sage of the Six Paths or whatever that name was.

I also want an answer as to why all of those bodies where at some point people Jiraiya had fought.

 

He fought them but did it ever say killed? Pain could have considered them worthy hosts if they survived a fight with Jiraiya.
