So, this thread is devoted to taking turns making up random facts about characters from Naruto. Something in the style of the 20 Truths/Fact format. The rules are pretty loose, being just don't contradict canon or any other fact posted by someone else.

As an example and to start us off, I'll make 3 of them.



Despite his habit of reading porn, Kakashi has only ever been intimate with one person - Rin. This was only a couple weeks before the mission where she was killed.

Kisame actually has a secret love of Theater, Kabuki Dance-Dramas in particular. The only one who knows of this is Itachi, who is sworn to secrecy on pain of horrible mauling.

Kotetsu and Izumo are some of the only people to have ever pranked a young Naruto in retaliation to an earlier prank. This did, of course, backfire horribly, leaving both of them dyed pink for a week.

 

Shisui decided to master shunshin in an effort to emulate his hero, Minato.

 

Tobirama was forever in the shadow of Hashirama's almost overwhelming power yet unconquerable empathy and compassion, and thus decided to become the shadow to his light to do whatever was necessary for the village. He would later pass on these teachings to his most willing protege Danzo.

 

Any Hyuuga can confirm that yes, Sakura's pink hair is natural.

 

Jiraiya was always an explorer. One of his life goals, once everything else had been taken care of, was to head out of the Elemental Nations and search for other civilisations.

 

Naruto has always admired Lee and Gai's green jumpsuits and leg warmers, despite his outspoken commentary and reactions saying others. So, secretly, he owns his own jumpsuit - only with the suit being orange and the leg warmers green.

Kakashi's favorite non-lethal technique is the Thousand Years of Death, as it used to be his fathers favorite prank technique to use on him.

 

Gai actually gave him a bodysuit which he was planning to wear until Jiraiya said hell no.

 

This thread is why we can't have nice things.


Naruto's incredible appetite and metabolism are actually a direct result of his Jinchuuriky seal, which draws excess energy in order to maintain and strengthen itself.

 

Ooh yeah! That was during that whole Tsunade Search Arc if I remember correctly. Ah well.

Of all of Sarutobi Hiruzen's students, he favored Orochimaru the most, as he was a genius above geniuses. In his eyes Jiraiya was a good, if not strange kid who probably wouldn't make it far in the shinobi world and Tsunade was an excellent and sweet girl who would hopefully live up to her family name. Yet despite all his efforts in truly instilling his teachings and beliefs into his students, only Jiraiya, the dead last, took them to heart in an attempt to receive to please the only father figure in his life, becoming a great shinobi in the process.

 

Jiraiya was a street rat from a quasi-large city outside of Konoha. He grew up in a brothel, which may explain his intense appreciation for the female form. It was only when the town was raided by some bandits, who were then driven away by the relatively recently established Konoha that he decided to travel there and become a Ninja.

 

Salamander Hanzou's invincibility in the Land of Rain was due in large part to his ability to convert the ever present rain into a type of poison closely resembling that of the Nightshade Salamander's, with one key difference. By either design or genetic happenstance, this poisonous rain was also violently flammable. A valuable trait for a ninja that even by the age of 10, was known for his rare fire type chakra in the Land of Rain and his penchant for using it in devastatingly explosive ways.

 

Sarutobi Hiruzen's wealth of knowledge on the ninja arts is said to be unprecedented, even amongst the copying capabilities of the once famed Uchiha Clan. Only three nin in all of the Elemental Countries understand the how behind his monikers, 'the Professor' and 'God of Shinobi', rather than the why he came to bear them, however, Homura Mitokado, Koharu Utatane, and Danzo Shimura. They know of how easily he devours even passing-knowledge of a jutsu and reverse-engineers it in his mind, filling the gap on hand-seals, chakra type, and even the amount of chakra-control necessary for production. He has only ever failed once.

 

Now I want to know what that once was.

 

Presumably Hiraishin.

 

Sage jutsu could fit.

 

His failure occured during the battle with Orochimaru. His use of the dead demon consuming seal was rendered ineffective by the Snake Sannin's ability to swap bodies.

 

That's not a failure of the jutsu, though, more of Orochimaru finding a way around it. The original post referred to him understanding and reverse-engineering jutsu, and I'd wager he understood the seal well enough to perform it properly in the first place.

 

His intention was to kill him not to handicap him. I'm right even if I'm technically wrong read the rules of the thread.

 

It's not about the rules of the thread. The original post referred to understanding jutsu, not always landing lethal hits. I'll wager there have been plenty of occasions where Sarutobi intended to kill someone and they didn't die, considering he's probably fought against guys like Onoki and Hanzo.

He actually did intend to handicap him after he realized he couldn't take all of his soul.
