In my defense I only really liked the femmeslash ones. I thought the first one she was totally aware the whole time and entirely pretending though?

I find the notion of Hermione Granger having any sort of sexual relations creepy.

    Or reproducing.

    Or existing, for that matter.

Wow, you're so edgy and contrarian. Please teach me your ways.

You're just throwing out words at random now. How does disliking, even despising or outright hating, the character of Hermione Granger constitute as either edgy or contrarian?

Not to mention, that just because I dislike her immensely doesn't mean I don't read, and enjoy, fics that have her involved in one way or another.

Erhm, those are both perfectly fine words. If you don't understand them that's really your problem. I might be wrong about this but you seem to have a different opinion from the mainstream quite often. I'm not just talking about your opinion of Hermione here. When I call you a contrarian, it's basically a nice way of saying that you're a shitstirrer that likes to make provocative statements like the one you made about Hermione.(Not that I'm a huge fan myself)
I simply found it funny that you felt the need to share your disdain for Hermione and stories where she has sex. It's kind of hard to argue with and seems to be a completely nonconstructive form of criticism that doesn't even focus on the fics in question. It's not like anyone's forcing you to read it.

It's almost as if we're on a message board about fanfiction.

I keep seeing that argument used to justify inane conversation. An opinion offered without reasons is not discussion, it's spam, because there's no real content to it. Especially when the opinion is sufficiently unreasonable to verge on trolling.

It's almost as if you didn't read the next sentence of the paragraph. I do so love it when people take quotes out of context. It's 'fine' that people share their opinions without an ounce of constructive criticism or objectivity, but that's really not what this thread is about so I do think it's alright to call people out on it. I found it funny because I don't feel the need to loudly state it whenever someone posts a fic with a character I don't like.

EDIT: Or read what Taure said, he usually does it better.

Read these two. I was pretty impressed with the first one; Pansy isn't a character I associate at all with that kind of sexiness, but the author made it totally work. Pretty well-written as well.

Dirty Laundry I thought was just okay. The buildup was nice, but then having Hermione just pounce on him seemed a bit weak.

    To Master the Dark
Summary:Trained by Bane himself, Harry rises from a boy hiding in a cupboard to an immortal legend. A tale of justice and revenge, idealism and murder, life and death.. Crossover with DC Universe - set after The Dark Knight Trilogy. Involves Magical Britain and Gotham.

The writing starts of bad , but it gets better by chapter 15 or so. The last chapters are pretty good in my opinion. It isnt library worthy but I enjoyed it.

To Master The Dark feels like it is steadily going down the road of being a HP fic in name only.

    Revenge of the Wizard

A new story by Darth Mars.

Basically, the empire enslaved earth and took all of the planet's resources. The terrans that remain are slaves. Harry is one such slave, uncaring and numb, still broken by the death of his family.

In the author's words, "a HP-uniserve trained Harry in the SW world. No lemons or soul-bonds". Now this being a DM story, you know a harem will probably manifest at some point, but I hope it's later rather than sooner.

What prompted me to reccomend this (spoiler for the end of the chapter)
is that Harry kills a junior leautenant and assumes his life. I love the idea of Harry working from the inside to destroy the empire.

I wonder if he'll top that scene from the Firebird trilogy where
Luna got raped by a huge dildo with magical properties so her Fallopian tubes would be healed.

Because fucked up things seem to be his forte.

I was looking forward to reading that. Mostly due to the car crash in slow motion nature of DM's fic's.

But after reading it I just got depressed it's not Havoc side of the Force.

That's the scene where I peaced out of that fic. As much as I thought Book 1 was a pretty novel concept, I don't think I've ever seen a more perfect example of Darkness Induced Audience Apathy than Book 2. At some point, you just run out of people/situations to root for.

It just seems like his motivation for each new chapter was "How can I make this whole world even more depressing and bleaker than it used to be?"
