Personal preference maybe. Although those two boards are better than the Asrock one in terms of overclocking, since they have the Z87 chipset that has Intel-Certified overclocking capabilities whereas the Asrock one doesn't, since it only has the H87 chipset (but Asrock, as well as most other resellers, still enable overclocking on them via their own software/bios). Apart from that, and the SLI/Crossfire support that you wouldn't use anyway (unless you changed your mind), there really isn't that much difference.

The reviewers on the Sniper one seem to be raving on how good it is for gaming. Similarly, this seems to be the most popular Gigabyte one on mindfactory, at least in the Socket 1150 section. But the reviews for the Sniper were better and although the stats for this seem to be superior, I would, I think, stick to the Sniper one.

Crossfire was using two GPU's at the same time right? Don't think I will, but still, apparently the Gigabyte MB's were specifically designed for gaming, so, might still be advantageous to purchase that one, don't know if it is worth to pay twice as much though.

Yes, Crossfire is the AMD/ATI variant of SLI.

That "made for gaming" is mostly a justification to sell products for more than they're really worth. People also seem to love that phrase, and since it's more expensive it has to be better, right? There isn't really anything on a mainboard that you could construct specifically for gaming, apart from maybe SLI/Crossfire, and even that isn't as usefull as it seems since most games are not really optimized for it, and can even cause problems in some cases.

Hmm, so only get that if I want to overclock, right? Since otherwise, the ASRock is just as good for my purposes?

Also, am thinking of maybe switching to this case. It already has fans installed and has more additional stuff.

Yes, only if you want to overclock. And even then you might be able to find a cheaper Z87 board. The case looks good, with one 200mm fan at the front, one at the top and one 120mm fan at the back you shouldn't have any problems with heat building up (though keep in mind that you should, at the very least, clean your pc of dust at least once a year).
