I can't connect to the new server. My connection gets refused. Is the idleRPG going to be moved as well?

Edit: "Connection to irc://bbmagic.com/ (irc://bbmagic.com/) refused." I get this error message everytime I try to connect.

There were a shitload of netsplits and service denials on the scifi-fans server last night. Guess it pissed people off enough to make them want to move.

Are you sure that you were puting in bbamagic.com and not bbmagic.com?

 

Troubleshootin'

1. If you're using mIRC, the exact command is /server -m bbamagic.com 6667 -j #darklordpotter.

2. If you're having problems, start with the following:
--a) double check that your entry is exactly as typed; this means:
---- i) you are typing bbamagic.com, not irc.bbamagic.com
---- ii) you are using port 6667
--b) if this doesn't solve the problem, replace bbamagic.com with ninesoft.com and try again
--c) if this doesn't work, drop the -j #darklordpotter, then if it connects, type /join #darklordpotter
--d) Copy the error message you get into an email, and send to rob (at) ninesoft (dot) com , I'll do my best to figure it out.

 

Couple of things:

A)Steph post one more useless post and you're banned. I have this allergy to stupidity, maybe Slytherin Damian or Oldmagic could tell you about it, and I have a very, very low tolerance for post spammers. NIpping them in the bud early often helps this allergy

B)I'm well aware of how to work IRC, the bba did not work, however the ninesoft did oddly enough, thanks Eli

Spacks, I've made it more then clear about useless posts, and I've stated multiple times now it's not tolerable anymore. Especially since the posts come off as mocking a person who couldn't get something working. I was being a bit irritable, and the fact that the posts come across mocking had me screaming for the smackstick.

She's apologized and I appreciate it quite abit.
