I will post some pics with my shitty camera when I'm done.

I actually logged in now to check my msgs and the board before I rip the guts out.

I've got the thermaltake water loop measured and cut, just need to swap everything over.

After that the damned headaches start, I get to put my Zalman heatsink on ebay, and wait a week or two to get this =) This waterblock is made for my card, and should help it's temp alot

Yeah my friend wanted it, newegg still has it, but evidentally they were a limited edition test model to see if there was interest. As fast as they sold, hopefully they'll come out with something else kick ass.

I'd personally love to see a top mounted quad radiator set up.

The damned thing is so quiet Im ordering a flow meter to make sure it's working, I'm used to 30 dbs and thinking it was quiet, not the 15-17 it's claming.

Sorry promised pics and forgot about it

Side shot, UV's cathodes on. Normally it'd be annoying silver shiny, but I coated the entire inside with this sound absorbing material matting. The cross bar, if you look earlier in the thread, normally stands out like a sore thumb. The absorbtion material actually worked and muffles my fans abit.

    Fuck me thats sexy.

With the water cooling you'd have to be able to OC the CPU over 500mhz, looks insane.

What temps does everything idle and under load hover around?

more then 500mhz Murty. Stock e6600 is 2.4 ghz. I clock to 3.6ghz.

1.3volts on the chip, idles at 43Cish, ambient inside the case is 31C. I can get it lower, I just need to reseat the chip, I used too much heatsink paste. I had it to 37C idle before. Loaded out it goes to around 52C

    Jesus fuck 1.200 mHz. :)

Thats a big ass difference in load to idle. 20C. Voltage change may be pushing it up.

How are your Video Card and HDD temps?

nah reread, AMBIENT inside the case is 31c, as in ambient air, not the chip temp. Load to idle is 5c-10c difference.

8800gts w/ the stock cooler is idle 48 load 60, hard drives at 26c-30c.

And I could actually go lower by 5 degrees or so, but I put the northbridge waterblock onto the loop, because I havent had time to build a second loop yet

    Geez, *is jealous*

I JUST upgraded myself, from a Pentium D 945 to a Core 2 Duo E6600 (just like you), but it's on stock air cooling. I have to hand it to the people who do water cooling; I could never feel comfortable knowing there's water flowing in a box with electrically live components in it, even if it would mean some serious overclocking. I've heard of people getting 3.1 GHz on air, though, so I may try that. (On air, stock, my CPU is at 40-45 C, so that shows the difference between how effective your cooling is versus mine :) )

My "water" is completely nonconductive coolant that they use in the freaking NASA astrosuits. I could get a tub of this, submerge the PC, and nothing would happen. Be expensive though, lol.

I used a Zalman 9700 NT, and got idle of 45c, clocked to 3.3 mhz stable. I could go 3.4ghz, but it'd get hot and not stable, and I didn't want to crank the voltage higher.

And yeah, get rid of the stock cooler, that this is a pure piece of shit. If you're using the default stock intel cooler, and you overclock at all, it's going to get retarded hot. I went to 3ghz, and idled stable at 65c. Made me nervous as hell. That being said, if you're running 45c idle on it, as horrible as that cooling is, you can easily go higher, cooler, with a decent aftermarket cooler.

I'll mention in here when I get my 9700 NT out of storage in case anyone wants it.

Huh. I didn't know the industry came out with new, non-water-based coolants. That's a relief :) Even so such an apparatus is still probably expensive :)

I was surprised to see 45 C on air, because my Pent-D 945 was regularly hitting the 55-60 C mark and I actually had to Arctic Silver the heatsink after degunking the stock thermal junk just to try and get the temperatures down (that, and aim a 120mm fan into the case).

The fan's only running about 1700 RPM and the particular board I have must have some kind of fancy thermal regulator that controls the fan speed even when Q-fan is turned off, because at peak temps the fan on my Pentium D would roar up to 3500 RPM. So I think I do have a bit of room, cooling-wise, to run the speed up on a stock cooler.

(oh, a PS... I happened to notice your Crucial Ballistix RAM; I got some as well when I got this Asus P5B motherboard. :) The LEDs go absolutely crazy when I run MemTest86+.)
