The thing that annoys me most of this pictures is that they all are wearing standard school uniforms instead of robes. The pictures could have been taken at any British coeducated boarding school. Wizards wear robes! That's one image I have since my early youth. That was the image I had of Gandalf and Saruman and that's the image I have of Harry Potter.

Sadly these uniforms dominate fan art, too. I myself have only vague idea how wizards and Hogwarts students look like, but I think Alan Rickman and Maggie Smith come close to the things JKR meant when writing "Three sets of plain work robes (black)" - with the difference that outside Hogwarts most are wearing hilarious colorful robes. The films just use cloaks carried over the uniform.

Those of you who have Quidditch through the Ages should look on page 54: The scetch shows a Quidditch player in a robe. Think of something like that when you picture Snape's worst memory ... But with the Eton-like uniforms nobody will see your pants if you're hanging upside down in the air. I wonder how they will convert that scene in the film.

well ron looks more like i pictured, luna will be good, and umbridge with some acting skill will do well..... and there end the good things. I saw 4 and i must say it blew, i fully expect this to screw everything up, who knows maybe harry wont brake up with cho, or maybe he'l just go out with hermione, knowing the directors i find that fully possible. I think ginny looks better, while shes not attractive I dont think shes ugly. Wtf is with harry's hair, i know its been said but i just had to reiterate that. Oh well im sure ill go see it and absolutely hate it.

I don't remember Paul Simon wearing glasses in the video (mainly I just remember Chevy) but the resemblance between them is definitely there.

Frankly, I'm more suprised that Thalarian admitted to seeing Roll Bounce and no one's made fun of him yet.

LOL...thanks for finding the picture. I went hunting for one earlier before I posted, but Google has decided it hates me and images are borked for some reason. Maybe it's because I used nLite to strip out some of the windows 'features' I dislike...like say WMP and IE?

Back to Simon though.. Yeah I know he didn't wear glasses in that video but it's the hair that really does it. Well the hair and the expression Paul Simon gets on his face...

Roll Bounce was a movie that hit theaters about a year ago. I never saw it, but with a headlining star like kiddie rapper L'il Bow Wow in a movie about roller skating in the 70's? I think there was supposed to be dueling roller-skating tricks between rival skate gangs/teams or something too. I'm assuming they made it in hopes to ride the tidal wave of great publicity from movies like You Got Served.

Honestly, I've not seen it. But I did pick up the box at Blockbuster and feel a little ashamed that I was spotted doing that.

 

Anyone other than me who see that both Patils have Gryffindor tie on them? See the blue on Cho and Luna but then its only red and gold used on Parvati and Padma. On the picture of the DA of couse.

To my knowledge(not much regading HP) they are in diffirent houses. I feel so proud! Remember the big fus of house elf in GoB that show in 0.1 seconds.

 

Neville not only looks crazy he looks 3, looks like he has a combover. The twins shocked me, They look like 30 well used years. Ginny... Is pre-pubescent, I can't believe that Harry is getting with her.

The main problem is that when your doing a 7 movie long series and there's like 2 years between movies your actors are 25 when you want 16. I tihnk they should stop the movies at 5 unless there going to get a whole new cast for 6 and 7.

Harry must have 30 pounds on me.

 

They had already made that mistake in GoF, actually.

 

I can account for the Weasley twins looking so bad, it's the lighting, simple fact is that everyone else is a head shorter to them. So instead of hanging a couple of more lights so that everyone has proper lighting, the gaffers just hung enough for get a general wash on the front line.

Okay scratch that. The lighting is horrible on all of them. stupid people thinking that footlights make actors look good? maybe in live theatre, but never in TV or film.


Umbridge reminds me of my grandmothers, both supporters of the british monarchy which umbridge reminded me of so much while reading ootp.


I think the biggest problem is that if you take pictures from the previous four films of Harry, and line them up you notice a giant change between 2 and 3 and a subtle evolution of that look for four, and leap to five. this goes for all the students that have had lines.

Mcgonnagal looks exactly the same as PS, which is perfect.

 

where the hell is the wizard robes? their wearing something that my grandma wears to bingo every night. The pictures are fine otherwise then.
