Has anybody else seen it but me? I just got back from seeing it and still haven't gotten over how awesome it was.

Yes, yes you are. The title hides just how much awesome is in the movie.

 

Looks like "Ninja Gaiden: The Movie" TBH.

 

Not really. this movie has nothing to do with evil demons and the like.

It's also very, very gory.

 

It was a fun watch and was perfect for a mindless post thanksgiving dinner fix. I was kinda disappointed with it though. If they're gonna have the female lead be useless, couldn't they have had a better looking piece of fluff?? And seriously, I'm convinced that if they had put a bit more effort into making a plot, they could have had a franchisable property.

 

I don't think it was supposed to be anything like that. It was like Taken, nothing ground breaking but awesome in every other way.

Of course the female lead was next to useless. I mean she wasn't a Ninja.

 

At least she was sexy (fuck you, DvorakQ ), though I was pissed that she wasn't straight-up German.
If she'd had an accent....oh man...

The movie was legit, and exactly what I expected: violence with a dash of plot. I'm glad they didn't give away everything in the trailers; what you see in the trailers is actually the tip of the iceberg - something I haven't seen in a long time from movie previews.

Also: borderline comically-oversized shuriken stars FTFW. Theyare going on my Christmas list this year.
