So, though the many versions and rewrites of my current fic, I've decided to set aside some time for note taking and suggestions for a new fic. One that has an undeserving small fic base base. I'm talking about a Code Geass fic.

I have no idea what it's to be about, but I figure I can take some time to write down idea and maybe have you help and throw in your own idea. By the time my chemo is done, hopefully I'll have an edition of my primary secret fic ready to post here. Then can get started and finished with this. At the very least, we may come up with enough ideas for people to use on their own and make other Code Geass fics, which is a good thing, as the fandom severely lacks there.

I didn't put this in the plot bunny thread, because it isn't a plot bunny. Not really. Mostly because I have no idea what it is. It's mostly me looking for an idea to work with and input would b helpful.

So, Ideas for the Fic so Far:

Lelouch has a different geass at the start of the story. Possibly Mao's, Maybe one I made up w/ astral Projection, or something else.

The Mao one gives me ideas, as how would Lelouch use his power. I'd see it as being able to read one person at a time, until geass runaway starts and then everyone is in his head.

In this Mao would be interesting, as I could have him keep his powers as well, or switch hem with lelouch's old power. Would have to find a way to make him as insane as he first time.

Another possible idea is a Lelouch w/e a Geass. He even says that the Geass had simply jump-started his plans, meaning he already had some.

So, Yeah, suggestions, or notes for a fic to make,.

 

If the point of divergence is 'Lelouch gets a different geass', the power that the geass gives still has to be such that it allow him to escape the firing squad.

 

I know nothing about Code Geass but get well soon OP.

 

If I wanted it to diverge here, yes, but If I a going to change Lelouch's geass, I would change the when and where he gets it as well. IRC Lelouch is actually the only one we see accepting the contract on screen, so I don't believe he has to be in a near death situation to gain one.

However, in this instance, I'd give him Bismarck's Geass. See the next moves of your enemy? Depending on how eye works, it would help or hinder his goals, but at the very least his chance of survival in that situation would go up.



And then I have to wonder what Bismarck would have accomplished with Lelouchs's Geass.

At this point, I'm just curious how he would of gone about things with the different geass'.

As I said, Bismarck's would either be useless or even more of a use depending on how it works. (I.e How far ahead can it see into the Future) Though, even then Lelouch would try and find a way to prolong and enhance he Geass and will probably jumpstart Geass Runaway early.

Mao's would be fun, as you could see how mind like Lelouch's would deal with the same thing that drove Mao insane. If I do this one, I'll probably leave Mao's Geass the same, simply for the potential scenes and drama that would be a definite.

If I used Mariannes, then that would mean Marianne had his. Kind of scary really, because she seems like the kind of person to have backup plan upon backup plan upon backup plan. Lelouch would be going into this dealing with who knows how man sleeper agents.

He could do a lot of the stuff he did in canon with Rolo's geass (I.e Escaping the firing squad, Suzaku's trial)

and then you could have a fic where Lelouch doesn't HAVE a geass. At the very least, not until much later, when he learns the emporer has one.

Anyway, that's all about Geass'. There's plenty more we can work with for ideas. Like, Maybe the other siblin that went to japan with Lelouch wasn't Nunnaly it was someone else the emperor saw as useless at the time, like Euphie or maybe he even sent Lelouch alone. That's bound to fuck up a kid. Especially when the kids smart enough to realize they'd holding Nunally hostage for a variety of reasons..

 

Keep in mind that anyone under the Emperor's rule with Lelouch's geass would either be killed or lobotomized into complete slavery the moment it's discovered. Charles isn't the kind of person who would allow a power of that kind to exist freely in his empire.

Immediate foresight is great and all, but one absolute rule per person? That's a royal flush and a shotgun under the table compared to Bismark's 3-of-a-kind.

 

Which is part of the fun. So you'd rather have Lelouch with his regular power, but anything else? This series has so much potential, outside of timetravel and Britannan!Lelouch.

 

I'm not saying I'd rather have anything. I'm just pointing out a personality quirk that would make geass-shuffling inherently difficult.

 

Then I have no idea what point you're pointing out. How would it be any more difficult for anyone that had Geass in the story? Only Mao and Lelouch got their's and weren't actively helping Britannia, (Rolo defected) with Mao's allowing him to know and tell C.C when they were discovered, and later learning to do run from them on his own. Lelouch's usual answer to anyone who found out about his geass was to kill or make them forget, and the latter was only when he personally knew them, had a use for them, or if they were something like a civilian.

Then you'd have to consider that some Geass' are less noticeable than others. Lelouch's was actually very showy if you could see it in action without getting caught in it, and that's how Jeremiah practically figured out something was fishy. (What with having no memory of the event and knowing he was way out of character in letting Zero and the Black Knights go.)

And that's not even getting started on the fact that the Emperor would know, no matter what, because he talks to all the people Lelouch kills.

So you're actually wrong. Charles would allow such a power to roam freely, because he's already been shown doing so in canon.
