Hi Lyrium! I saw the new Hobbit. I'm not much of an avid LOTR or Hobbit fan so any character/plot details were completely lost on me. It was kinda fun, although I still think it's really dumb that one arrow took down a huge dragon. Especially when that dragon was super cool. Also, Oakenshield was kind of a bitch but he was going mad so I guess it's forgivable. And the white elf lady, whatever her deal is, it was so funny when Gandalf was getting the shit beaten out of him and she's calmly strolling over like she doesn't have a care in the world and my brother leaned over and whispered "she sure is taking her sweet time" and I couldn't stop laughing through the scene.

I think I had more fun commenting on the movie with my brother than actually watching it.

Oh god THorin is like that throughout from the first one, its kind of annoying. Its funny that you watched it like that, it must not make too much. Like most things I'm not avid avid bc I didn't read the LOTR books but like see the movies a lot. I did read Hobbit a long time ago and it was good.

Kili and Tauriel is prolly my second favorite part of the Hobbit films after Martin Freeman.

It's really sad, I hardly know anyone's names in LOTR. I had a pretty good idea of who you were talking about but I still had to look them up to be sure.

Usually I wait for someone to recommend something to me, and then if I like it, I find things that are similar to it and branch out.

Generally, I like horror and comedy. Specifically, I'm a huge fan of stories involving the "royalty/VIP hiding in plain sight with the main character the whole time" trope, titles of which I won't actually say in case of spoilers. Also kidnapped princesses, but that's what The Legend of Zelda is for.

 

I like comedy too....horror not really unless its zombies. Idk, non-zombie horror makes me unsleep at night.

I have never played Zelda...but I have heard of it lots.
