Harry will probably use his connection with Voldemort to destroy the Horcruxes, or maybe their brother wands. Some bull about magical signatures that will hand him the win. Maybe he'll use love to destory them and that will weaken Voldemort enough for Harry to defeat him.

It's impossible for Harry to lose and the moral of this story is love conquers all so I'm guessing that Dumbledore's hypothesis was correct and we'll see a battle of the minds where Voldemort tries to possess Harry again, or something, and he pushes all the love he can through the bond. This will hurt all the Death Eaters as well so they can't help Riddle. Harry will use the last vestiges of his strength to crawl over and end Tom's life, probably using the Sword of Gryffindor to do it. How sad.

On a different note, I'm not convinced that Dumbledore isn't dead. I wouldn't put it past Rowling to have him still be around, but having vanished to force Harry into his destiny.

It's cliche, it's fandom, and it's just horrible enough to be the real plot.

Umm . . . I'm almost positive that she's stated in her interviews that Dumbledore is dead, but I could be wrong.

Yeah...Hold up, I have a lit of official crap like that. They're all things that she said based on questions in interviews and the like. It's also quite possible that someone already gave this list or a similar one; don't flame me if that's true, I'm not checking 12 pages worth of crap to verify it.

    HARRY POTTER BOOK 7 SPOILERS:

Aunt Petunia is not magical, nor will she ever perform magic. (But someone non-magical will!)

Lupin will not be back as a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher in book seven.

Peter Pettigrew's silver hand will not be used to kill Remus Lupin.

J.K. Rowling will not write a book about Lily and James when she's done writing Harry Potter.

The Sorting Hat is not a Horcrux.

Mrs. Norris is not an unregistered Animagus.

    Harry is not a Metamorphmagus.

Dumbledore is not Ron or Harry from the future.

Nicolas Flamel will not teach potions at Hogwarts. (Isn't he dead?)

Luna and Neville will not "hook up." (I'm a little dissapointed here.)

The Lestranges were not sent after Neville to kill him.

Neither Voldemort nor Dumbledore are Harry's close relatives.

Lily was never a Death Eater. (WHEN DID THAT GO UP FOR GRABS?!?)

    Lily Potter is not alive.

    Crookshanks is not an Animagus.

I forget where I got these from, but I know they're all correct. Regardless of what anyone says, or of how corny the ending is guarenteed to be, I'm still looking forward to it. Remember, people, that this story started off as a children's story--meant to be read by 8-14 year olds, or something close to that. Part of writing a good series is keeping to that audience, regardless of how long it takes to write the series. Because, when jk is done with all of it, when children want to read the series in the future, they're not gonna have to wait a few years for the next book to become age-appropriate.

I feel like strangling the person who asked about Flamel, but these were questions on her site in which people always asked about or made rumors.

Erm... The only person Luna seems to get along with is Harry. And Ginny, yet we never actually see them interact all that much, do we? Neville and Luna is laughable.
I have a bad feeling that this is going to blow, big time. Hopefully, she can pull it off with minimal damage. Yeah, right...

And suddenly, Mrs. Figg rode in on a broomstick, shooting an Avada Kedavra curse at Voldemort, who was thrown to the ground. He lay there weakened by the Squib-turned-witch's curse, and Harry walked over, standing above him.
"This is for my parents and everyone you killed!" he cried, and stabbed Voldemort in the heart with the Sword of Gryffindor, killing him instantly. Scar.

    My prediction.

Sweet. Now I don't have to blow the cash on the book. You rock!

...and how sad is it that I don't find this unrealistic?

I noticed that many people going wild with their imagination... I love to say off the tangent but I think I will join in the fun! Haha!

There are some possible endings posted here that are acceptable... Sorry till now still no H/G... I may burn all my Harry Potter books if that came true...Wonders how many of you would join me...

Anyway, some of the possibilities are just pure insane... Wait... Sane is overrated here anyway....

There I go again... I will post some more intelligent once I gather my thoughts...

I think I'd kill myself, slowly, if that happened. How about something of Slyherin's finally killing off Voldemort rather than something of Gryffindors. Doubt many would expect that.

Who in the hell thought that one up?
Didn't you say you were going to 'join in the fun'? I don't see a speculation here.

But it was stated in the first book that love defeated Voldemort the first time, so you can't say it comes as a suprise if that's what happends.

Stephen Fry, who does the Harry Potter audio books, recently threw a bone to the spoiler-starved fans.

Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus, eh? Hmm, could this possibly allude to Voldemort foolishly tickling a dragon and being fried as a result? That'd be a nice twist, to be sure.

Draco = strangely enough...Draco IMO. I reckon that the younger Malfoy is going to play some sort of huge redemptionist role after Voldemort punishes him for not being able to kill Dumbledore...oh wait, thats like the plot a lot of fan girls use now a days. Oh well, didn't stop her with HBP.

EDIT: Just a thought on the Draco idea...she must have created the name Malfoy for a reason. Mal foi is bad faith in french if I remember correctly from the numerous fics that say so. Malfoy ain't the sort of name you just randomly think up, and JKR seems to have been setting things up from book 1 for the ending, so one can extrapolate on that thought and say that she is telling us that a Malfoy will break faith with someone.

The way she wrote the 6th book, I don't know what to expect.

As for Draco, yea I too think he might do something redeeming. :puke: Yuck, that will certainly make a few fan girls shed a few tears of joy.

My ideal book 7 would have JKR pulling a Dallas and having the Half Baked Plot turn out to be some deluded dream. Thus having Book 7 be year 6 and have a book 8 for year 7. Because that will never happen, I have to agree with everyone above me. It'll end up with some sort of lame Power of Love thing, nevermind that it was just Dumbledore speculating.

I don't think either Harry or Voldemort will die, though. It'll probably (hopefully) end up some sort of open-ended thing where Harry leaves Hogwarts to look for the Horcruxes (could never spell that) after graduating. I really want it to end up like that. If she does that instead of the wildly unrealistic Harry-vanquishes-Voldemort-because-he-LOVES, I might partially forgive her for the clusterfuck that was book 6.

If Rowling were Communist, the final Battle would be 100 Order Members + Harry AK'ing Voldemort simultaneously. I sincerely doubt he would survive that.

Unfortunately, Rowling seems more of the independent/pull-yourself-up-by-the-bootstrap sorta person. The end will be Harry channeling his powers of love and somehow survive when Voldemort gets cocky and self-defeating.

And then Harry will run into Ginny's arms and they'll have a giant Weasley hug with lots of laughter and tears and future red-haired baby Potters.

    This is depressing.

I think Ron's going to sacrifice himself. I was reading the first book to a kid I was watching, and the whole chessboard scene struck me as HUGE foreshadowing. The whole "It's not me or Hermione that matters, it's YOU." was a bigger monologue than I think Ron's gotten in the entire series. Plus, she (JKR) really emphasized towards the end how Ron looked like he was dead after he got knocked out.

    Here's hopin'!!

I would put money on Dudley Dursley being the non-magical person performing magic.

Dudley, eh? But what about Filch? He tries so hard, poor guy.

So, any bets on Dobby being heir of Gryffindor?
