Here's how I think the final battle will go.

In a graveyard under the light of the full moon, Harry and Voldemort face off. Everyone else has stopped to watch the fight. Voldemort suddenly targets Ginny who is right in front of Harry, protecting him after he was gravely injured. She dies dramatically. Harry screams, "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" and procedes to beat the ever living shit out of Voldemort. For the final attack, Harry starts waving his wand in a spiraling pattern and yells, "Moon...Spiral...Heart...ATTACK!", sending a huge pink heart at Voldemort who then procedes to scream in anguish. Harry runs to Ginny's side and finds that she is still alive and they live happily ever after.

Couldn't you just see Rowling putting something that shitty in there?

 

Just had a thought-- What if Wormtail's hand is the eighth horocrux? It fits the details, Cedric Diggory is murdered and then wormtail's new hand is created. Hmmm.. and given how much the little rat has proven he'd do anything to survive...that might seem like a good bet to Voldemort. One more final insurrance no one would know about physically attached to the one follower who would do anything to keep himself alive, and if all Voldemort needs is a fragment of his soul to come back...

Hmmm... might even be an explaination for the 'gleam of triumph' in Goblet of Fire' if this works out to be true and its when Dumbledore finally has something to pin his suspicions on.

Good idea, except for two problems

1) Creating Horracruxes couldn't possibly be THAT easy, like waving a wand. There has to be some evil ritual, with human sacrifice or something like that.

2) It was Wormtail who AK'd Cedric, not Voldemort (who couldn't hold a wand at the time).

...Well there goes that idea. Eh, it was just a random thought anyway. That said, I'm sure there's going to be some kind of twist like that in the last book. Perhaps horocruxes weren't the only way he protected himself?

Theres no reason he couldn't of turned it into one later on, or made more in his absence from HBP.

 

I think i heard somewhere that the way to beat him was tied in with something from CoS, im obviously going to have to come to the conclusion that the weak little fuck is just gonna start swinging around Godric's sword like he did with the Basilisk and...BAM! all over red rover...Oh God's below i hope i'm wrong!

he could actually hold a wand, when he kills the caretaker in the first chapter of Goblet of Fire, it is Voldie who does it. he has to be holding a and to do that, the book says "He was screaming so loudly that he never head the words the thing in the chair spoke, as it raised a wand. Dragon I've not yelled at you before for you constant need to post the same response to most of the story threads here, nor the spam like qualities of them, but I will yell at you for spelling like a retarded drunken monkey.

Since he doesn't seem to be going back to school in Book 7 perhaps the timeline might be staggered a bit so say the first quarter/or half of the book would probably be set the usual 1 year after.

But the second half may be set a few years after so he would have some time to actually friggin train cause otherwise Voldemort will roast him alive without much effort.

Of couse at the moment i doubt he could even get up to Voldy
since any competant Deatheater would just slaughter him and his annoying groupies.

Hell he probably has a better chance of beating Voldy by throwing away his wand and taking a Machine Gun since his spells suck and he is a dumbass.

Quite a few books have jumps in timelines like The Magician by Raymond.E.Feist, the second half is set like 9 years later than the first half.

However i doubt that this is gonna happen since J.K Rowling's writing ability seems to have died and is probably gonna pull some cheezy Lovey Dovey crap and it is gonna suck old school.

I honestly think that Harry will not survive the final confrontation with Voldie, purely because the entire amount of 'training' that Harry recieved from Dumbles consisted of watching fucking pensieve memories!
How the fuck is that supposed to help the kid with his fight against the Dark Lord? Anyone? Honestly, it doesn't. Harry is doomed, all because Dumblefuck decided that 'Harry sould have a normal childhood'. He never had a normal childhood! How fucking normal is it to be locked in a fucking cupboard for ten years? He lost his parents when he was fifteen months old; his childhood died then!

Sorry, I just needed to get that off my chest. Anyway, the way I see the final battle going is that Harry will go all suicide bomber on Riddle's ass, and blow them both to Kingdom Come. There is no other logical way for Harry to halt the spreading darkness.

I could just see him riding a nuke down onto Voldie's hideout, ala Dr. Strangelove. "YEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAA!!!!" *BOOOOOOOOOOOM*
