Meh... she also said HBP was exactly how she wanted it; that we would learn something "important" about Lily in HBP; that book 5 was going to be shorter than book 4; that somehow the knowledge of whether Sirius is ever cleared is important; that Harry's parent's job is important to the plot

(and no offence to her, but if there is still some big important thing about his parent's job for book 7, that book is going to be filled with so much its ridiculous.

I mean really, at this point we still need to find out about their jobs, her eyes, why DD seemed happy about Voldemort taking Harry's blood, even more about why Dumbledore seemed to trust Snape or "seem so willing to see the good in him", what Dumbledore's boggart was(?) and that has to be important to the plot somehow, in fact we are supposed to learn a whole lot about Dumbledore. Harry has to find all the Horcruxes - on top of figuring out what they are- he has to visit Godric's Hollow, spend time at the Dursley's, train himself up -hopefully- re-visit the locked room in the DoM, fight the final battle, we find out more about the bond between Voldemort and Harry, we find out something important about why Petunia knows about dementors and she said there would be a final chapter devoted to the survivors fate in the future - all in less pages than OotP!)

so you have to sort of take what she says with a grain of salt. I mean, really, her definition of important is skewed and how important can she make it when Radcliffe has blue eyes?

 

I knew she said HBP came out exactly as she wanted, but strong characters? (and I'm not even talking in terms of power, even if Goku as a child could kick their asses to the moon and back; I'm talking personality)

Water tight plot? Never heard of this particular expression before, but she had better not be sugesting she doesn't fuck up in her stories. Maybe having too many notes and not thinking about them does screw up a story.

Anyway, how could the colour of his eyes be important?

He's supposed to have inherited them from his mother, and in her case it didn't help one bit.

Well the humour was Dumbledore getting AK'd imo.

I've got a way to kill two birds with one stone.
We'll probably find out Lily did time in Azkaban, where Petunia visited and saw the dementers. Thus explaining why she thinks all wizards/witches are criminal elements.

Maybe she was put there for using Avada Kadavra, which would explain her green eyes.
It'll also explain why no one talks about her and, why Voldemort tried to recruit her.

That's all the silly plots I could think of without melting my brain.

Don't know if you lot heard, but JK just gave an interview and said that at least 2 characters are going to die in the 7th book. Methinks she was meaning Harry and Voldie.

Her comments about authors killing off character to stop otehr folk writing sequels makes me think she is planning on killing Harry.

 

Yep, he'll end either pushing up daisies or breeding with Ginslut.

 

Naw its a kid book. The preteen fangirls will cry and she'll lose millions. If harry dies who will kiss ginny and wake her with twue lurves kiss. Or find hermione's glass sliper. Without harry, him and draco won't meet at the 'Ameican Idol' contest and fall in a pit of giant sharp spikes!... I mean love, and meet back stage to have veela mating slashynessslashslashyness.

 

I doubt she'd care at that point, because the pre-teens etc will have already paid for the book.

Therefore she'd kill of the chance of other authors bettering her work, and still make a killing on the last book.

Lets face it as he is now Harry's only chance is to die with Voldemort.
It also suits her self-sacrifice theme she's spouted throughout the books.

It would also explain why Dumbledore kept going on about death, plus who's Harry got left. Ginslut, Beaver and Weasel.
Atleast if he dies he will be with his parents etc.

It's soppy and I hate the idea, but it's JKR's M.O.

After the fourth book, she could've done anything, and I mean anything to the story, and I believe It could've turned out spectacular; had him leaving the fucking school, for instance, so maybe he'd get off his arse and actually do something, ffs.


But she blew it. The latest book is so full of shit that it reminds me of the latest Naruto animes (does anyone know, btw, when they're starting the episodes of Kakashi Gaiden?).


HBP seems like hundreds of pages of introduction to book 2.

And I'm gonna love see her crash and burn in the seventh.

 

I am hoping that the two people that she mention that will die in the seventh book are Ron and Hermione during the horcrux hunt. I dont belive she counted voldemort as one of those two as it has been pretty much a given from the start that voldemort would die, unless he is redeemed by harry's all powerful power of love

JKR let slide a few new snippets last night on an interview with Richard & Judy. A transcript can be read here. The two most interesting things, though, concerning book 7 would be:

- Two major characters die, where another has been given a reprieve.

- It doesn't look good for Harry Potter dying.

Meh. I hope I've read into that correctly? The rest of the interview is quite boring. Oh, and a status report -

So, what are the bets now? I say Remus, maybe Fred or George, to kick it in next.

 

I am still betting on Ron and Hermione, possibly Arthur or Molly in place for Hermione.
