Would this be the reason why quantum mechanics rules out the possibility of anything actually reaching absolute zero? Because it would break the 2nd inequality you posted?

I had read that QM rules out absolute zero and knew it was something to do with the uncertainty principle, but did not know the specifics.

 

I think the last one is a reference to reddit.com, and I infer from the joke that it contains a forum wherein large threads are to be found without humour or substance.
