That's a bit stupid. Flareon's moves are fine for the game. For competitive, you can't use a glitched 'mon at an official event and otherwise why even bother?

 

I still remember the first time I did back with my Blue version so long ago. Sitting at the kitchen table at 2 in the morning, gaming to erase a bad nightmare induced by The Mummy(1999).

Eventually had the route memorized and didn't need to keep a dedicated Flasher on the team anymore.

Skipping over that, Gold taught me that you didn't need a Masterball to capture a Legendary - 4th of July ~2002, waiting for the fireworks to start and going after Ho-oh in its tower. Finally caught it in a Greatball and, genius that I was, decided it had to be a glitch and I should investigate - cue reset without saving to try again :facepalm
