I just found out about Pokemon Origins.

I didn't play Silver and get to battle Red so he was mostly known as the game's default for my first Pokemon game (I didn't pick him). It was this thread that introduced the idea of a badass Red to me (some pages back where Red's story is told in images).

Reading up on Origins I found this



So before I ruin it all by reading an episode summary I'm going to go watch it. It looks like it is good.

Wanted to share it here in case someone hadn't heard of this.

 

Origins is worse than trash.

 

Let me tell you about Red.

 

To be honest I've never gotten the kind worship of Red you people do, or this fanon characterization of him as some dark, brooding badass. His character in Pokemon Origins seemed appropriate to me. I thought Pokemon Origins was kind of lackluster, but mostly because it was so damn short, not because I was hoping it'd be a Game of Champions adaptation.

Kabuto llama is terrifying.

 

Omanyte Llama is worse.
