Narcissa, I don't think they trashed. I mean, they showed her being desperate to protect her child. That was okay by me. Bellatrix I thought they ruined. I loved her as cackling psycho mocking Harry with the baby-voice. She was WAY too sane.

 

Cissy was fine for me, she was beyond desperate to save Draco.

The fact that this big bad spell is corny as fuck named "Unbreakable Vow" is what ruined the chapter.

unimaginative is the word I'd use. She could create any kick ass spell, name it anything and it would be basically as if from the word of god as far as the series goes.

yeah it was pretty weak. And why don't people like Voldemort make EVERYONE take this vow to join the death eaters. Pretty simple huh?

She could have done it a million different ways. Use mix blood, drink very special, very difficult and rare potion, do vow words in latin. This would be more exciting AND explain why people don't use this more often to ensure fidelity.

Anyways i was just reading a story a came up with this idea, if voldemort "dies" while he still has his phylacterys around does he lost hte part of his soul in his body and takes the next one to use, so one could kill him 6 times to kill him for real, or is it like as long as they are about they work like a real phylactery and he just comes back forever

Aye, I've got something like this in my story coming up, Harry has them swear to him by taking part of their magic, if they betray him at any level, they die, and their magic is forfeit.

How freaking hard would it be to truth serum the OOTP or DE members before entry? I mean get a effing clue JKR, it was a horrible plot device.

So all you really need is one, and you could pull it off and feel guilty, but never die, so long as you are content to Never die and NOT try to take over the world. I mean, Voldemort could have just become a very important person, without the ambition of wiping over half of humanity and with one horcrux he never would have died. He probably would have looked relatively normal too. Maybe slightly "off" and with a bloodshot eyes all the time, but certainly not scarlet. (remember in the teacher scene he didn't look nearly so fucked up.)

A phylactery is a device liches/undead wizards used extensivley in Dungeons and Dragons/various role playing games to make themselves either unkillable, or way more powerful.

Seriouly, Midknight, don't do that though, because if you do, you'll have to explain why DUmbledore and Voldemort don't do this. Its a major plot hole JK created. Canon Harry/Ginny- EXCUSE ME!?!?!?!? But I sincerely doubt Harry would date one of his stalkers, especially if she is his best friends little sister

Canon Ron/Hermione- She would kill him... Or at least leave him. I'm sorry but you all know it's true. He would say the wrong thing at the wrong time of the month one to many times.

Snape Kills Dumbledore- Dumbledore dying made me happy, the way he went out didn't. I wanted to see him go down like Tony Montana in Scarface... Or Fat Joe (Iforget what name he was going by in that movie) in Empire. Not stabbed in the back (figuratively) like my all time hero Julius Caesar.

Harry Gets Over Sirius- I don't oppose this action, I just oppose the way it was done, and the grand total of 3 pages it took to do it.

Quidditch + Friends Parents Deaths = Quidditch Trials- ??? WHY JKR WHYYYYY???

Ron's Casual Attitude- "Hey guys your reading the paper... Umm who died?" You know THAT attitude. I mean at least show SOME genuine concern.

Horcrux's- BAD BAD BAD idea JKR, now how are you going to write the last book in under 2000 pages? Seriously destroying the Horcrux's = An entire book by itself, Killing Voledmort is another, combine the two and you have NO ROOM FOR ANYTHING TO DO WITH TH CHARACTERS.

Now for what I liked about the book.

Stan Shunpike's "arrest"- *coughs* GUANTANAMO BAY *coughs* *coughs* USA PATRIOT ACT *coughs* The political statement of locking up people to make it look like your doing your job is wrong... Well done, but just a bit cliched.

Malfoy is a little punk- Doesn't have the balls to kill Dumbledore when actually presented with the opportunity. Fits his character perfectly.

 

But that’s good. Now she can’t destroy them anymore. The characters really suck now but if she get the chance it will only get worse. It will be like a black whole with no turning back.
