I'd have to rate PoA as the best for me. The build up was great, the twist with Sirius was awesome.

In GoF it just got to the point where it was... great.. someone's out to kill Harry.. AGAIN, and they broke into the worlds safest building... AGAIN... ya know?

OOTp was a disapointment in it's lack to do a damned thing other then kill Sirius and tell us a prophecy.

I liked Order not really for the story so much, as the thought of what book 6 could be.

Book 5 gave the doorway for an angrier more tough Harry. That's the only reason I like book 5.

Prisoner in terms of Story, was best. But Goblet rocked, because Harry really kicked ass. I mean, a 14 year old facing down dragons, thats pretty fucking cool.

I also don't understand why Lupin didn't tell anyone that he was an ANIMAGUS!!

THis was the big plot-hole in it that I've never gotten over.

    Ehhh, Lupin was an animagus?

PoA was the best, YEP! (anyone know what the fanfic is called were Dumdledore kills Sirius because he didn't believe in Sirius innocence?)

    Agreed.

He didn't acctually kick the dragons ass, he just summoned a broom and did something, or atleast i think he did (only read the books once).

And i ABSOLUTELY HATED when he had to go save Gabrielle and all those shits, leave them to die.
But then again, i always hates it when Harry goes on a "Hero spree".

    MORE DARK!HARRY !!

I rate them in the following order

#1. Prisoner of Azkaban- In terms of story and Harry getting actual powers :) Plus Sirius is my favorite character in the series.
#2. Sorceror's Stone/Philosophers Stone- What can I say? I like the book that started it all.
#3. Goblet of Fire- I liked it a lot but the other two were better
#4. Order of the Pheonix- The book sucked, because Sirius died... The book sucked because it was just infuriatingly URGH!!! But it wasn't as bad as the other two yet to be mentioned.
#5. Chamber of Secrets- CNN: Headline News "Harry Potter Rescues Stalker from 50 Foot Killer Snake and Evil Dark Lord Using a Hat a Bird and a Sword." 'Nuff said... Not to mention that bringing Lockhart probably wasn't the brightest idea.
#6. Half-Blood Prince- *mutters* yesssss we will killsssss JKR for defasssing our ssseriesss *mumbles*

I agree with that for Azkaban, I just liked all the adventure of Goblet. There were definitive things happening, but in terms of story tie, terms of power Azkaban. Ahh, I don't know, I still like Goblet more cause Harry finally has a REAL showdown with Voldemort.

Azkaban, now that I think about it is probably number 2.

Chamber really sucked. I honestly thought nothing would get worse than this book. God, how I wish I was right.

When I made that comment about Lupin not telling Dumbledore HE was an animagus the "he" I am referring to is Sirius Black, the most WANTED man on the fucking planet who had secret "difficult" (McGonagall's word about Animagi" powers that Lupin believed only two people knew about. Himself, and Sirius Black. The guy is a fucking moron based on this alone, but he really isn't at any other time, so its a massive plot hole.

i agree with the way you all rate the books. chamder and half-blood prince are last.

Chamber would off been more interesting if harry talked to the bloody snake and ask it the basic of "what, when, where, why" that would of save alot of time. and in that dule with malfoy in the duleing club he could of called the snake to him and picked it up and played with it like a toy or something effectly scaring the shit out of malfoy, becaue harry already knows that he can talk to snakes, by having a bloody conversation with the damn snake. I'm still thinking about why he nevered used that spell in cannon. i mean damn the snake ecould be a grate spy and all that. that my biggest problem with that book. and half blood prince...well i've already voice my thought on it.

After 2 consecutive disappointments, I don't think I want to even read canon again. I'll settle for spoilers so I don't have to waste my time and money... :D:D:D:D

I'll do it cause I'm stupid, I'm curious. I KNOW she'll fuck it up, and I'll regret it, but I'll read it anyway cause, like I said, I'm stupid.

    Indeed.

So, when are you doing that story with Harry using Rita Skeeter as his teacher/spy? I so want you to do it. I'd do it but i'm afraid i'd probably fuck it up.

In my opinion the book showed that Harry can't win against Voldemort (in canon at least), because he is by no means anywhere near as knowledgeable as others in their 6th year (Riddle: started quest for immortality; Snape: invented spells; Herman: well Herman can do anything), I mean he still jumps around with same spells as in 4th year and that's just weak. Also how should he gather all the other Horcrux, in a year, when even Dumbledore needed a long time to find 1 Horcrux (the last wasn't a Horcrux), and when Harry finds the rest he doesn't have the knowledge to destroy them. And let's say he finds all Horcrux and destroys them (shouldn't be possible Voldemort would do much to protect his Horcrux to become immortal), he stands against a wizard whose name is feared by nearly everyone, even Aurors that hunt evil wizards for a living. So the only weapon Harry has (according to Dumbledore) is love, what he's gonna do, give Voldemort a love potion and then he lives with him happily until the end of their days.

Aye thats my thoughts on it also. HBP made it look like that by 6th year you were supposed to have really accomplished something, and all Harry can really claim he's gone out of the way to do is get hurt in damned near anything and wind up in the hospital wing a ton

Yupp it's just pathetic. Well perhaps Neville does the job, I mean he could have trained with Dumbledore while Harry watched memories.

lol. It's probably going to be some corny ending where Harry loves Ginny and therefore somehow defeats Voldemort with his love.

Hey Charlie, are you an official advertisor?

Nah, I just want to promote stories that I think haven't gotten the recognition that they deserve (unlike yours which is beloved by all  )

Dark Syaoran, I'm going away on August 19 (TO JAPAN!!!) and coming back September 1st. So, I'll write my Rita Skeeter story then. YOu guys should know that Harry is going to start out REALLY naive. He will believe that DUmbledore is the GREATEST and that he's too busy to help Harry and that Harry (because he doesn't know the prophecy) has to protect himself. Rita will open his eyes. SHe will also be doing things for him like gathering information and shit. I've also thought of a really cool familiar for Harry. The question is should it be a more powerful version of Hedwig (WILL NOT BE A PHOENIX OR LIGHT CREATURE) or should it be a Dark creature that is larger and more terrifying (they will be equally deadly and its your call (I'm tempted to go with the Dark Creature very strongly, its just the other idea is very good as well and I wanted someone to use it)
