As I mentioned somewhere else, we have public live broadcasting.

    You poor poor things.

By the way, Sweden does not seem to be as successful as we have predicted. Still 0:0 after 65 mins.

    Holy Shit

The Sweden T&T game is INSANE!

    Nil-Nil tie!

It has been a long time since I have seen the type of inspired play that I witnessed from Trinidad and Tobago's Keeper and Defensive players. Down a man against a team that was expected to beat them.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have our first upset of the World Cup

I only watched the last 20 minutes, but yeah, it was pretty intense. Swedes lost their cool though and lost some precious time. They had more of the game and a win would have been deserved, 26 shots at the goal vs 7 from T&T (possesion 2:1 for Sweden).

Oh yeah, there are public 'festivals' where the games are shown open-air

From an Englishman's point of view this was an excellent result. I just hope that T&T are not so inspired when we play them next Thursday, if we can win that one we'll be through already!

My prediction for England, based purely on the fact I dislike Beackham = Last in the world cup. I dislike beckham and belive alot of his hype of his skill is just that. Hype, not real skill, honestly, anyone with some of the hair styes he brings out makes him a fkn pixie and a half.

    :p

Seriously, I don't think england shall go as well as expected, they will fumble under the pressure is my prediction.

I would love to see australia get out of its group, which would be MAD, as they haven't been in the world cup for ages, honestly, how can fkn the USA be ranked higher than us? we have Schawzter and Quele(sp?).
All in all, I would like to see Australian be up their in the rankings in the end of the Cup.

Well, England is already one foot in the second round. I haven't seen T&T, but they must be good if they managed to resist the Sweeds. I've been saving myself for the last game (Argentina vs Ivory Coast), coz they are from my team's group (Serbia&MN).

T&T's keeper Hoslin had an astounding game, but once the Swede's started to lose their cool about 20 minutes into the second half I knew that the nil nil tie was probably going to stay that way.

OneEyedMan: Australia is ranked behind the United States because unlike Australia the United States has proved itself capable of handling pressure and doing well against ranked opponents. Two players do not make a team, no matter how talented they are. This is the Aussie's first World Cup appearance in how many years again? How many? Yeah thats what I thought.

Admittedly the USA is not th best team in the Cup... But you Aussies should stick to Rugby and Aussie rules football.

But on the subject of David Beckham... He's overpaid. Pure and simple. He is talented -- but for the amount he gets paid on the club level he should be playing a lot better than he is. Plus, he's gotten a wee bit arrogant as well. Giovanni no likey.

I took eagerly await the Argentina Match though :)

A well placed crucio on the whole team is what they deserve. How the hell can you lose against Trinidad and Tobago with 0-0?

    :(:(:whipped:

It might technically be a draw, but all Swedes will see it as a loss. And look at T&T after the game, never seen a happier team after a draw.

Er wow.. I expected the Sweeds to do better. I had to deal with all my swedish friends bitching about that though.... anyways.

T&T really put up a tough fight against Sweden. Be interesting to see them against England.

Argentina is most likely going to beat the Ivory Coast, although the Africans might come out on top.

Ivory Coast surprised me with their quality. They are worse team than Argentina, of course, but they didn't deserve to loose the first half with 0-2. This is definitely the toughtest group, along the one with Brazil.

Even though I predicted 2-0, I didn't expect CIV to be so good. Technique-wise they are pretty good and except for the goals they are not really much worse than Argentina.

Well my prediction went down the drain :/

I thought Drogba would at least play a little better than THIS.

Edit: But I still think I. Coast are playing better. They're far more aggressive.

I'll pretend I didn't see England as 'last in the world cup' and comment on this. We have one of, if not THE, strongest first team and definitely the strongest squad. When Rooney returns their won't be a single weakness in the whole team. I'm not saying it patriotically but analytically.

As for Beckham, he's been one of Real's best players consistently throughout the whole season. His crosses and freekicks are sublime and haven't worn out like Carlos'. Need proof? His last sublime freekick was a whole six hours ago.

Sweden have practically handed qualification to us on a platter. All we have to do know is beat T & T :p

LMAO. Ever heard of Chelsea? They're paying three players £130,000 a week, more than the majority of the country get in a year, or two for that matter. Footballer's salaries are a whole big bitchfest but compared to other high earners, Beckham deserves his salary. For a long while he's been the key Real player (as well as shirt sale winner).
